Bought 2 and kept 1. My 7th grader likes hers. She said it holds all her paper and folders, plus a few extra things. It saves her back and makes going to and from bus easy. She likes the side pockets for water bottle but wishes it has more pockets to get herself organized. I did not like mine as much and decided to return it. The hardware is not strong enough for my daily work use. (I am a sales rep.) It would hold my stuff but would not be able to withstand the usage. I was not willing to have it for just a year and would need to buy replacement after 12 months. So I returned it. I feel this backpack is good enough for school, up to and through high school. For college and for work, it would not be strong enough for more than 1 year. Of course, if you like to replace yours every year, this will do.
My 11 year old found this backpack on here. She wanted a wheeled backpack, preferably with one that fits her laptop since she may have the need to bring that to school next year when she is in middle school. The laptop compartment is between the smallest outer compartment and largest compartment, so it will not only have the built in padding but that of whatever is in the other compartments. It fits her very large binder along with all her other supplies with room to spare. She is rough on it when wheeling it around, and nothing has loosened or been damaged yet in these first few weeks of use. The arm extends to a very good height for her to wheel it around; she doesn't have to stoop down to wheel it (and she is almost 5 feet tall). The arm is very sturdy as are the wheels. It rolls fairly smoothly, considering everything she shoves in it! Got the pink one on sale when the same exact one in blue was $15 more, not quite sure why. She was looking for pink anyway. I expect this to at least last this school year and next. Anything after that would be a bonus!
Hey everyone, I'm always super skepti of reviews on this site, esp. 5-stars, but I was thinking about buying a new backpack today (it's on sale) and thought...why? I have a good one already — it's this one — and felt compelled to write a review. I've had this backpack for nearly two years and use it almost every day. Sometimes it's just my laptop. Sometimes it's stuffed with climbing gear or going on a multi-day bike tour. Sometimes it's raining. Sometimes it's adorned with bike lights or GPS trackers. It's never broken (well, I smashed the buckle on the chest-strap, but it's not big enough to ever be heavy enough to require it, so no biggie), it's never ripped or torn, and it always seems to have that extra couple inches of volume that fits that one last thing I probably won't need. It's a great backpack and I encourage you to buy it if you care about those things. It's not the most stylish thing I own (hence the thought about the new backpack), but you know what? It's a backpack. I never see it while I'm using it anyways.
