"What are the dimensions of the backplate that mounts to the house?"
I used these to flank my garage doors that are 9' tall--perfect proportion. (I used the 2-light size around my 8' entry doors.) I hunted forever for the perfect exterior lights on our house, but we have a ton of exterior lights, so it had to be something that wouldn't break the bank. I wanted an iron or bronze light that was substantial, but with a little scroll work to soften the lines. I actually saw these on a house in our area--I loved them so much that I took photos and then stalked the internet till I found them--I was so delighted when I discovered how affordable they were compared to other options I was considering! They look fantastic in person--nice quality and install well. The "rustic bronze" reads black which is exactly what I wanted (it's not like bronzes that have hints of copper or brown showing through).

I purchased these exterior lights for my front door. I was going for a large, oversized substantial look. These certainly deliver! My doors are 8 feet tall and the lights feel small in person next to the door - so I accomplished the look i was going for. My house exterior is black and white so i was concerned about the ‘rustic bronze’ but it looks quite black next to my black front door and white siding. I popped some LED candle bulbs in (40w equivalent, 2700K) and they look stunning! I’ll let you know how they hold up to northern wisconsin winters.
