Very pretty fixture, but when the fan is turned on the lights started spinning intermittently, causing a strobe/disco effect. I don't think it was supposed to operate that way, but my electrician said he installed it exactly as specified. Decided to return it and go with a simpler, cage-free option.
Giving this product a 5 star review because it looks beautiful and works perfectly. It is important to know however that it cannot be mounted flush or closer to the ceiling. It would be ideal to have a choice of how low it hangs. The center rod could be cut if you know someone very skilled. The electrical wire set up isn't the best and requires a special tool, small watch-size screwdriver, which is neither mentioned nor included. Once installed though you'll be in love.
