I will admit the lamp is cute. Needed to change light bulb for more brightness. Was very disappointed that the color of the base of the lamp turned grey. Also the quality of the materials appear as though are "scaps" of metal and put together poorly. See pictures below.. gave 2 stars because it looks cute from a distance.
It arrived and was wrapped in shrink wrap with some paper thrown in and the box was piece together and half way taped. The box was left on the front door rain storm destroyed the box. The lampshade is covered and I shellac there's parts it's peeled off the shade there was one damaged area on the Shade. Sending back.
This is a very unusual lamp and it's a big hit with all my guests. The shade is leather and casts a beautiful glow.
I really like this lamp. All of the measurements are true to size. I ordered the red and it's different than shown, which I get because they are all hand made, but I would have liked the white border around the top and bottom of the shade. It throws a lot of light for reading but not enough to be overpowering and the red shade casts a pleasant glow over the room. The base is exactly the same and very sturdy. I only gave it 4 stars because I don't like that a white cord was used and you can see it between the top of the base and where the light bulb screws in. Seems like a little more metal would have covered that right up or could have used a brown cord. Also when I got the lamp the packaging was great but it was bent like the leaning tower of Piza. Luckily the base is very sturdy and I was able to bend it back into shape. It's all one piece so no assembly and it even came with a bulb!
Aside from being a Source of Light, this Desk Lamp is whimsical., ,,,,,, A little rough on the finishes, but it's not a mass produced product., ,,,,,,,,,,,, And a conversation piece. Right amount of light for a cozy reader.
Nice materials. Very poorly executed construction. Returned the two we bought.
lovely red leather shaded lamp. gives a nice reddish glow to the living room!!!!!!!!!
We just received this lamp yesterday. The lamp is quite unusual and is well made .The only problem was that it came with a bulb which was totally shattered.I hope they can change that by putting in the bulb in its own package or by not putting it in at all.Overall it's a great addition to our eclectic room!
