My original review: I like the amount of light this produces but we need to change the bulbs often which gets expensive. We ordered 2 of these lights and the bases on both of the lights were dented & scratched. It was not a packaging issue the packaging was fine. Update: We purchased these lights in August 2022 and yesterday, 10-2-23, the switch no longer works. It made a weird sizzling sound and went out. I also noticed when I came here to update my review that it was never published because it said: Whoops! Your review has been denied. You can edit your review and resubmit. Shipping Issue: This review is related to shipping concerns, not the product. Contact customer service for all shipping concerns. I'm telling you it was not a shipping issue to start with and it is definitely not a shipping issue a year later that the switch goes out. Do NOT purchase these lights. They also denied the 3 images I submitted showing the damage on the lights. I've been really happy with Overstock but this has been very disappointing. I get constant emails from Overstock and now even more so that Bed Bath & Beyond is part of them but I never received a notification saying that my review was rejected.
There was a problem with the base which could not be screwed on. I had to return the item

This lamp is beautiful and very well made/solid. It adds just the right amount of light and class to my living room.
We purchased this lamp for a room with no overhead lighting. Not only does it look nice but it is able to light up a 12' x 14' room by itself. The quality is also good. I would purchase this lamp again.
Very nice Torchiere lamp.. Very stable and good lighting.. I suggest using 100-150 watt compatable dimmable led bulbs..
Very sturdy and heavy. Easy to assemble for one person in less than 30 minutes. Once you add two 150 watt bulbs (not included) it gives off a bright light for the room. Can use with options for only one bulb burning or two bulbs for additional lighting. Light switch does not have a dimmer option. The switch is not the best in the world so you might want to change it out with a better one.
