Beautiful Fan, Confusing Setup & Safety Concerns

The fan looks beautiful once installed, but the instructions were missing a lot of important details and had several inaccuracies: • The instructions said the lampshade was glass, but it's actually plastic. • The screws were already installed in the holes, not in a separate package, which made it confusing at first. • The LED light attaches with magnets, not screws, and that's never mentioned in the manual. • There were no directions for installing to an existing junction box, which most people will be using. • No grounding wire was mentioned anywhere, a major safety concern. • The small black parts included weren't labeled or explained. Thankfully, my son and I are amateur DIYers, so after a few "wait, what?" moments and some trial and error, we figured it out. Once it was up, it looked great, quiet, smooth, and perfect for the nursery. That said, the lack of grounding instructions and the confusing setup really took away from the overall experience. Unless you're comfortable working with electrical installs, I wouldn't recommend tackling this one solo. If the installation manual were updated with accurate guidance, this could easily be a 5-star fan. This review was written by a full-time Bed Bath & Beyond employee.
