Quiet and provides a lot of light...
I was wanting to install a ceiling fan in my daughter's room. Her room has the sun shining toward the window all day and her room gets really hot. I got the white fan to solve the heat problem. This was a good pick because I only have one switch wired to the light so it was compatible. The light switch only appears to fully control the light. If I have the fan running and then turn off the light switch, the fan will shut off. But if I turn the light back on, there's no memory for the fan that will turn the fan back on. I need to use the remote to turn on the fan but that's acceptable. I do really love how large the light is. It's larger and puts out a lot more light than many other fans I've installed. It definitely provides sufficient light light for a large bedroom, and can also be dimmed if needed. I also appreciate the color temperature options because I prefer white light (4K), but it also offers cool white (5K) and incandescent. I wish the fan were made from more solid materials. I expected some of it to be made from metal but fan mount, body, and blades are all plastic. When I was hanging it I had some anxiety that the parts that hold it in place could break. I got confirmation online that so long as I installed it propery (which I did), there shouldn't be a problem with the materials, so I feel more confident. So far I haven't had any problems. Installation was a bit of a hassle. You need to attach the fan blades to the motor before attaching the motor to the ceiling. It's easier to install the motor to the ceiling then attach the blades, but it was still doable. Overall, I'm glad I got it. I think this fan has a great look, it puts off plenty of light, it's very quiet, and has a variety of speed and brightness options. This review was written by a full-time Bed Bath & Beyond employee.
