I love, love, love this watch. It satisfies a 60 years of wanting a Cinderella since I was a little girl. It is beautiful and much nicer than the one I wanted back then.
If you like the 50s-60s style charm bracelets you will love this. It is not brassy or highly polished, which makes it look like a vintage bracelet. The watch keeps good time and operates well for a moving charm that is not fixed to a band. The price is right, too.
Timex makes amazing watches. They are very well made, sturdy, of quality materials with classic styling - and yet they're some of the cheapest watches you can buy. This black leather easy reader watch has a classic, almost minimalist style round gold dial, reminiscent of the 60's and 70's. In fact, I'm not sure it's changed much over the decades. And in the same way, I think I'll be able to wear this watch virtually for life. As an everyday, casual watch it is well made and very clear to read and easy to set. The leather strap doesn't show a leather grain but seems of high-enough quality to last a while. I give it 2 years for the strap with frequent, but not everyday use. I think that's pretty reasonable for a watch that's super affordable, and you can easily replace the strap on it. The dial was a little smaller than I expected, however as a petite woman with a 5.5" wrist it was a pleasant surprise. The indiglo dial is just awesome. Make the watch perfectly readable in the dark and many more expensive watches I own lack such a useful feature. I think every woman should own this watch. Perfect for everyday wear, with classic styling, well-made and super-affordable. It's a little too casual to go with formal business attire, though you might be able to get away with it. Definitely not the sort of thing to wear at dressy affairs, however, if you switched to a gold band, you might be able to pull it off. Be carefully of the band, I think the watch will take a lot of abuse, but the more you submerge the band while doing dishes or such, will probably shorten it's life span. I've heard these classic Timex Readers are taking off among hipsters and I'm happy they are.
