I obviously did not look at the dimensions, but this is REALLY large, heavy, and thick for a women's watch; covers up my whole wrist and sticks out quite a bit. It is easy to read as advertised, but not comfortable for me.
I happen to count on Movado for good quality in a timepiece. This petite version of the current look of oversized watches is refreshing and truly comfortable. I like the navy face against the silver bracelet. The only thing was that it is made so big in the bracelet - I always have to have three or four links removed for proper fit. Also, the deployment band is very stiff and therefore, hard to use at first. I stayed in the jewelry shop where I had it fitted for my wrist for quite a while as they tried to show me how to open and close it. I have arthritis and this watch was very difficult for me to open as your finger has to have strength to get underneath the clasp to pop it open - the salespeople had no trouble, but if you are stiff in the digits, bring it to a jeweler to assist you. BTW - I was told by my jeweler, that this a fantastic price for a Movado....truly excellent. I feel that the smaller watch will be on the comeback trail as the large ones are really bulky for a lot of wome. I gave it five stars despite my problems because most women will not have my issues (except sizing) and it is indeed a well made and fashinably demure watch.
I purchased this watch because I had seen so many women/girls wearing the larger "boyfriend" watch and thought I would give it a try. The watch is very good looking and I love the size, however, it is so heavy, that it is very uncomfortable to wear. I tried to wear for a day to see if I would get accustomed to it, but now it sits in my jewelry box.
