Although this watch is rated to 30m water resistant, I didn't realize that you had to get a Timex watch rated to 50m to be able to swim in it. (It does not make sense...it can go 30 meters below, but now be ok at the surface? But that is what Timex does.) I had originally intended this to be my summer watch where I could jump in the water after the kids with it on Instead its a cute watch for regular activities when we are not at a lake. I love that it has indiglo so I can see the time at night. I ended up buying another Timex watch rated to 50m for swim days but am keeping this one because its reasonable priced and a cute summer watch.
This is a very well made watch. It looks very expensive and good quality. I have people looking at my waist admiring it and looking for the brand. I don't wear it daily just when I am dress up or wanting to make a fashion Statement. update: I purchase this watch on feb1 2017 and today is April 24 2017 I wore this watch once prior to me wearing it again on Easter Sunday. I notice what looked like a black scratch spot on one of the link connecting the bracelet watch. I kept looking at it and attempted to remove it by rubbing it against my cloth before I realized that it was not dirt but dark mental that was expose from where the silver polish had already came off the watch. I was so irrigated and couldn't wait to contact overstock who then referee me to the warranty department because its been past the 30days. The warranty department which is not overstock was very unprofessional and the least interested in trying to help resolve my issue. I was told I could pay $15 mailing fee to send the watch to the manufacturing warranty department to be review and depending on what they concluded it will take them about 6 weeks to resolve the issue. I was frustrated and called overstock back to see if there is another way to resolve this issue, the nice customer service lady I spoke to unfortunately informed me of overstock policy and that the best overstock can do after the 30 days is that I pay for shipping and handing to send the watch back to overstock and upon their review I could get up to 80% back but that among could be less, plus overstock will also take about $14 off the among I am getting back to cover shipping. This was even more disappointing. I spent almost $100 on a watch that I thought was good quality and would last a long time but here we are 3 months later already having external problem. I kept the watch because it wasn't worth me losing that much money but lesson well learn lesson. inspect your purchases within that 30 days window for any defects or issue because after that you are loosing money.
I knew exactly what I was ordering, there were no surprises because the website made it very easy to view, zoom, and look at all angles of the watches... so far so good. it arrived right on time as promised and the shipping was free. As my first purchase from overstock I'm 100% satisfied and I'm shopping as we speak and intend on making my second purchase
