Was looking for an excellent replica of a German Army WW2 watch for re-enacting. This is as close as you can get to the actual thing. Too good to wear for what I purchased it for though. It was manufactured by Stuhrling which was one of the many Swiss contractors for these WW2 watches. It is actually better because of the quartz movement (doesn't have to be wound). Keeps excellent time! Real quality!
This watch is as listed, very light on the wrist, and not too large. The face is easy to read and the fit is perfect. The fact that you can purchase a Swiss movement watch for this price is outstanding.
This watch is not what I expected although it is nice enough for me to keep. I thought I was buying a Swiss Army style piece from Victorinox. The Wenger watches have a positive reputation and I expect to get years of use from it. When I received the watch there was no paperwork of any kind with it. I emailed Overstock.com and received an electronic copy of warranty and how to get repair if needed within three years. Relatively little that I don't like about the watch: 1- the unusual thickness of the case, 2- the hands and numbers appear copper colored and not gold coated. It makes it look like a novelty watch. He complaints above are minor and I do intend to keep the watch and use it as I planned. Here's hoping it serves me for a few years anyway. The mesh band fits well, is easily adjusted, and is attractive.
