Was not my 1st choice (Movado Museum sport chronograph, which I also later purchased), but I was happy with the purchase. Now I have timepieces, not just watches
I like the watch! First order of business was putting a nice nato strap on it. The chronograph is a little off, doesn't reset to "0" but to 5 instead. It's a cheaper watch, so you get what you pay for. There isn't any lumes either on the hands which are a negative. Otherwise, I enjoy the watch.
Just received this beautiful watch. First impressions only, will get back if operational problems. Packaging is excellent and gift suitable, watch is cushioned and protected. A pictorial manual is included, still a little difficult to decipher, especially the instruction on how to re-zero the chronograph, but I figured it out in a few minutes. This watch uses the sweep second hand as the chronograph seconds hand, a little different, but makes sense when you think about it, more visible especially if you are working with times under one minute. The sub-dial keeps the normal seconds. Mesh bands take a little getting used to, but the ease of adjustment more than makes up for the unfamiliarity. I was quickly able to reposition the buckle to give me a snug but comfortable fit. The latch on this watch has an additional safety lock down. Very nice but no info in the manual about how to adjust. Those confronting this for the first time can find Videos on You Tube showing the process. The main strength of this silver/blue tone version is its beauty. Size and weight are just right for a man, but a woman who likes larger face watches would also like it. I deducted one star because of the redundant date sub dial with date window. Makes no sense, should have either left the subdial off or used it for some other function such as day of the week or 24 hour. Seems to justify the belief that the sub dials are there for appearance only, but maybe someone reading this knows the reason. Also, the edges of the casting that attach to the band are sharp to the outside. Does not cause any discomfort but could possibly catch on clothing or even scratch skin.
It is difficult to rate this watch because the watch is listed as an automatic but has a quartz movement. If the watch were listed correctly, it would most likely get 5 stars however it is listed as an automatic watch which is is not. If you are expecting an automatic watch and get a quartz watch, you will be horribly disappointed and realise that you are not getting the deal that you thought you were and most likely could have found the watch for less with a quick internet search. If you are a watch enthusiast, most likely a quartz movement is a dealbreaker, as it was for me after I realised the watch was listed incorrectly after I ordered it.
