The WOLF Viceroy 2.7 is a great winder for two watches, and has storage space for three more. There are a couple of minor quirks; one of them is that in order to open the winder, you have to depress a latch and simultaneously open the top portion, then--while the top is open--pull open the bottom door to access the winding compartment. That's a little weird, but I've learned how to do it and it isn't so bad I would return the winder. Quiet enough to keep in the bedroom, and very smooth winding action. Full price might be a bit much, but if you can find a deal on this, it's worth it.
this watch winder has worked just fine. it spins clockwise or counter clock wise for an hour and then rests for 3 hours. it is not a top of the line watch winder...however you obviously are not paying top of the line prices for this product. if I had paid 80 - 100 dollars for this I would be upset however since I paid half of that price I'm satisfied with my purchase
I rate this product as only average due to it's design and the lack of a cushioned holder for your watch. I owned another winder that died and I replaced it with this one. That winder had an excellent removable soft cushion that allowed you to place your watch around the cushion prior to placing it into the winder. This product is pretty attractive with a relatively small footprint on a table or dresser. The color is rich with a high gloss appearance.
I've bought these Wolf winders before and they're all in Burlwood; which is a dark Cherry with a highly glossy finish. Quality of the construction is top notch. Setup is simple using the front mounted panel. Turn the left knob to set the winding direction. Turn the right knob to turn it on/off. As soon as you've turned it on, press the buttons on each side of the LCD to set the revs. When the revs are set, it will immediately begin a winding cycle (so put the watch on the pillow and put the pillow in the winder before you turn the winder on). The winding sequence is unique. It doesn't wind a set number of revs each hour - it does the daily rev total in the first 8-10 hours; so it simulates a person's normal wear cycle of activity/sleep. Tip: When you set it to bi-directional winding (as most watches are), the rev count you set in the LCD is the number of revs in EACH direction; not the total revs/day. If you want a total of 800 revs/day, then set the rev counter at 400.
