Got this for my son to go on a 10 day backpacking trip. No phones meant he needed another way to track time. This watch lives up to the old Timex commercials that claim "It takes a licking and keeps on ticking!" The watch and the band have survived quite a bit. It has been briefly in a shower, a pool, and a snowbank. It has been stepped on, dropped, and scraped on rocks. It has survived high heat and high altitudes. If only his smart phone was as durable and boy-proof! One of the best investments we have made for his Scouting Adventures. He now wears it all of the time and uses it to tell time instead of his phone. Happy mom!
the watch is a small timex got the light and was good a good work watch but the band fell apart after 6-7 months of use, note that I will give it 3 Stars as it is a good starter for kids
I purchased this watch three years ago and I am still as happy with it as I was when it was new. I love that it lights up at night simply by pushing in on the stem. The crystal is free from scratches and the gold accents are still bright. The band broke but I was able to repair it myself. It keeps very good time and it's a very nice looking watch. I had planned to buy a Seiko but this Timex is everything I was looking for in a watch at half the price. I have had to replace the battery once because the light was getting dim. If you're looking for a basic watch that looks good and keeps accurate time, this is the watch for you.
