Great as a replacement
My husband needed a replacement ring while his new ring (which had it's own problems) was being fixed and sent back to us. He wanted a "back up" ring in the event something happened to his actual wedding band. So far, it's lived up to it's expectations. It is becoming more silver day after day. We bought this ring three weeks ago. He has been wearing it like a normal wedding band so maybe that is why the rose gold plating is wearing off of it. Great as a temporary ring but not for a long term ring if you want the yellow or rose gold to stay on.

The plain silver color Sterling ring can be safely engraved, but it would be risky to engrave the other two - the yellow gold and the rose gold plated rings. It's possible that the engraving might disrupt the plated finish inside the band

In other words, it could be chipped or damaged, depending on the method used, and the amount of heat produced by it. Best to consult with whomever you select to do the work about any potential collateral damage before turning it over to them to have the work done.
