This is a beautiful watch, but as mentioned by other customers, the latch is a trick. My husband has a Skagen watch purchased in Denmark so he showed me how to first hook the two "teeth" on the latch over the first bar, then snap the single "tooth" onto the second bar until you hear a snap. I have to put my finger beneath the latch and press down to get that "snap. After that the other piece flips over it. It's very secure now but the watch had slipped off while on a cruise ship. Luckily found it on stateroom floor. Didn't even realize my husband had a Skagen watch until then. Just saw this same watch without the diamond chips for sale in Iceland for $***.
