I love this ring. At first I was disappointed in the colour of the sapphires, but now I'm used to it, it's special and makes me feel special as well ! It's so lovely that I've ordered another one by De Buman and am trying to find an eternity ring in the same colour of sapphires, but none appear to be my size. Maybe I'll have to go with a white topaz and sapphire mixture? All in all, it's beautiful.
Swiss blue is a common topaz color. There are lots of choices. I admit that the gold pver the silver looked gaudy in the picture. But I have had other De Buman things from Overstock so I orderred it. It is a rich, rich Swiss Blue almost a hair darker like a Ceylon blue. I don't know what the cuts are on the oval stone but they make the stone dance with light. It does sit high and it is a large 14x10mm stone. It really looks bigger than that because of it's presence. I think the gold collar around the top could be a little flatter and not brought out on the sides as much but it is a very clever way to have the look of gold and keep a silver shank. It is also comfortable to wear. I REALLLY wish they would bring this out with a London Blue Stone. I know there are a couple small ones here on O. but I would like very much to see what their London Blue color would look like, I have another Swiss Blue that will be in the yard sale. This is a keeper.
I like the ring in general. My only disappointment is that there is little to no "fire" in the opal. It just looks like a white stone. I would have liked to see more of the opal colors in it. I am keeping the ring but probably will not purchase a De Buman Opal again.
