Moissanite by Charles & Colvard 14k Gold 2.22 TGW Solitaire with Side Accents Engagement Ring

The central stone is the same shape used for a round brilliant-cut diamond, great cut quality, flawless (as a created gem should be), and an excellent transparency. It's moissonite of course, so it's actually a bit more sparkly than a diamond, but still 99% as hard, so it won't break on you. The other stones on the band mirror each other, and the finale setting on each side is two smaller round cut stones arranged into a setting that's a long oval, rather than a single cigar shaped stone. The tweet smaller round cut look better because the setting is great quality. That goes for all the stones - the settings are designed to let light through where they should, which delivers even more excellent sparkle. My fiancee absolutely loves it, and like me appreciates that Charles and Colvard make high end designs and settings for such a great diamond alternative. Having had this for a couple years now and how it draws compliments, plus seen how diamonds of similar size other people have, in beauty, it's genuinely better than a diamond, period.

Quality was not what I expected..

The ring was poor quality. The main large stone had a large, visible, blackish/brown carbon spot on the underside and overall it lacked sparkle and brilliance for this quality Moissanite and price. The gold setting was thin. The prongs were too high over the smaller stones and caught on my clothes like hooks. I reported the problems first to Overstock and the customer rep was horribly rude. I then had a long discussion with Charles & Colvard about the ring's problems, they were polite and said I could return it due to quality issues. When I initiated the return with Overstock customer service, they refused to pay for return shipping, even though C&C confirmed it was defective. It took four emails, six phone calls, one letter, four texts with photos, and a lot of time and frustration to get my return shipping reimbursed (which was expensive due to purchasing insurance to cover the ring's cost). Only because C&C intervened with Overstock, did my return shipping expense get reimbursed. The photo shows the dull color of the stone and high prongs on the smaller stone. I have other C&C Moissanite jewelry which are high quality, so maybe this ring was a fluke, but Overstock customer service gets an "F" rating for handling this purchase. As a followup, I spoke with an Overstock supervisor and he offered an apology for their poor customer service.

Looks great for the price. It’s a confidence builder for the working poor

This is a beautiful ring!! Was my first pick. The sparkle on it is stunning. I had to return because the setting is low and didn't work with my band. Oh how that made me sad. Would deff. recommend though.
