I bought this band for husband as an "in the meantime" wedding band because I could not get something more expensive at the time. He absolutely LOVES this band and does not want it to be replaced. When we first got the ring one of the jewels came off, but he didn't want me to exchange it so we fixed it with some crazy glue (tacky I know) but you can't tell and it has never fallen out since. The great thing about this ring is that it appears that the diamonds are larger than they are. If you look closely at the picture the diamonds are the tiny things in the middle of the design. About the size of a pencil point. Because the diamonds are on top of that "blingy" design, it appears that the whole thing is a diamond when in fact it is not. Everyone asks me where I purchased his wedding band and people assume it was quite expensive. Probably one of the best values I have found on Overstock.
So the ring looked really impressive when we got it, and hubby really liked it a lot. Very shiny for about 8 months, and then the scratches and dullness started to appear. Never really was a really big deal. But then a few days ago one of the diamonds popped out and was lost. Took it to a jeweler and he wanted $$$ to fix it. He said the diamond was good quality but that the gold around the channel was not strong enough to hold the stones.
Ordered this ring for my husband. It is gorgeous and looks great on his hand, pictures on the site don't do it justice. BUT 3 different jewelers have told us that it is NOT 1ct. His ring has 10 stones a .8, so its about 3/4 of a carat... The retail value is still higher than what we paid witch makes this a good purchase for the price. But it is not nice to be cheated out of a quarter of a carat...
My husband's ring got priced at $2000 at the jewelers. Yaaaay!! The diamonds reflect light well and the white gold looks amazingly shiny and posh. I had bought a ring online for myself but then after seeing this ring, I realized that the quality of mine was lacking. My husbands ring became the new standard I had to hold mine to. Thanks Overstock.
