This has the heft and appearance of a mechanical watch, including a sweep second hand. The calendar displays are also mechanical and difficult to read, especially in certain light conditions. The user instructions are minimal and lacking of info on the steel strap--how to operate and adjust. I was not successful in being able to talk to someone on the phone; sent an email but never got a response, even after two weeks. Finally resolved the issue myself. Basically pleased with the watch, but customer support and documentation leaves a lot to be desired.
Two main problems. First of all, it is so difficult to see the watch hands that it's almost useless. I find myself constantly trying to move the watch around so I can figure out where the hands are. They blend right into the background. It's especially a problem at night. Also, this watch needs to be on a winding machine whenever you're not wearing it. Otherwise, it quickly runs out of charge and stops working. That means you have to reset the watch if you take it off. So do I buy a new watch with a battery? Or spend even more for a winding machine to keep a watch going, that you can't even read the time on? Also, I'm at the very last watch band hole, and could stand to go even tighter around my wrist. So if you have thinner wrists, you may have to punch an extra hole in the band. Or buy another band. I would return this watch but I've spent a week wearing it, trying to learn to love it. And that hasn't happened.
I love this watch, it's large and well made. I have two complaints: The hands are white not yellow and it does not have a screw down crown as most Diver style watches do. All things considered it was worth the cost and I would recommend it to anyone.
