I was glad I purchased this SO&CO New York watch because it IS really an attractive watch. It appears to be solidly made, with excellent finishing on the case and bracelet. The bezel insert on the watch appears to be ceramic, which I doubt, given the watch's low price, but it certainly looks and shines like a ceramic piece. In my honest opinion, as an owner of a Rolex Submariner, I do say that this watch is a well made HOMAGE to the Submariner and possesses a solid feel while on my wrist. The watch is quartz powered so its time keeping ability is excellent. For most people, this would be a fine daily wear.
Ad failed to mention that bizel doesn't move, which wouldn't cost much to achieve - but in all other respects this is a fine runner-up to the Rolex. Actually the quartz is likely more accurate than the Real Rolex - had the GMT Master 50 years ago, and despite being a Certified Chronometer I had 2 other watches that kept better time. Do wish the ad had been truthful about the fixed bizel ~ too much of a stretch for civilians to guess that's what "unidirectional" means in watches. What?!
This watch is awesome! It is such a good looking watch, and it does exactly what it is supposed to do. the time is extremely accurate, the date function is extremely easy to use, and the unidirectional rotatable bezel allows you to easily time things up to an hour. Although I do wish the watch was automatic, I am happy with it being a quartz movement because quartz movements are actually more reliable and accurate than automatic movements... and I don’t need a watch winder! This watch looks great, at 38mm it is the perfect size for my wrist... the bracelet is super high quality. I have a watch with the same kind of bracelet that cost *** and the bracelet on it doesn’t come close to the one on this watch. I personally prefer wearing my watches on straps, but it looks good any way you wear it. It is also a watch with a very versatile aesthetic and design. I do wish the springboard were a bit farther from the case, just because some thicker NATO and Zulu style straps just won’t fit in between... but that is really my only gripe with this watch... and it’s a small one at that because I own 17 different NATO straps, and only 1 of them doesn’t fit this watch... I highly recommend buying this watch, and I will probably purchase another in the near future m!
