I have other watches exactly like this just not in white. However this one I have gotten the most compliments on. I had an issue with it that there was a little something under the glass of the watch. Called Overstock and they sent me out another one right away and gave me free shipping back! Thank you Overstock!
I like it very much, and my wife also likes the hoops, but I didn't receive the last watch , we got the first two but never the 3 th. One WHY WAS THAT!! It is the ceramic watch ???
I've owned three ceramic watches over the years and loved them all. They are cool against your skin in summer, are easy to clean, and white goes well with just about any outfit. The large chunky models are quite masculine and informal while this Skagen Unisex is more refined and dressy; both have their place. The Skagen has a thinner band and more tapered styling than either the original Chanel or Versace models. At this price, however, it's clearly a winner in terms of value. If you are concerned that the Mother of Pearl dial is a bit too feminine, not to worry; only the subdials are MOP (hard to tell from the scans...). The rest of the dial is white and the markings are silver. So, the MOP adds a bit of shine and color but it's very subtle and blends well. Some might also worry about the band length. Some unisex watches are more akin to a women's long which makes them unsuitable for men with larger wrists. I have a 7" wrist and removed three links so I'll wager this would work well for men with up to a 7.5", possibly even an 8" wrist. One note on sizing the band: I generally do this myself as I have link removing tools. I've had no particular issues doing this over the years. Ceramic bands are unusual, however, in that they need both a metal sleeve and a metal pin for each link. For some reason, the internal sleeves fell out when I removed the pins then didn't want to go back in. It makes no sense, I agree; if the sleeves fell out they should just slide back in. When I got to the third link I made sure the sleeve didn't come out completely with the pin. Then I had no problem getting the band back together. Just an FYI in case you size your bands yourself. Overall, I'm really jazzed about this watch. I think it would look nice on either a man or a woman if you are after a sleek, dressy look. Do check the measurements, however, and compare them to your other watches. As noted above, ceramics have become my go to favorite for a variety of reasons. It you're thinking of taking the plunge you can't do better than this Skagen watch. It sets an all time record for overall value. The one obvious caveat is this: don't go ceramic if you're hard on your watches! Ceramic is just fired clay, like a china plate. Smack it and it will break. I've never broken or cracked any of my ceramic watches or bands but I'm generally super nice to my accessories and keep them out of harm's way. Never a bad thing.
