My first Timex T49713 was my constant companion for years as a police officer and well into my retirement in 2006. Last month it suffered a death from old age as the Indiglo failed to light up and the hands slowed down. (kinda like what's happening to me!!) I salvaged the 'newer' strap and retaining pins and promptly ordered a new 'Camper". Presently on my wrist, I trust it will give me another 10 plus years of service.
Nice style, love the thinness and the light weight. The clasp is a little awkward on this one because of the coating, but otherwise I love this watch and won't go back to a thicker one if I can ever help it. Great value for the price. Get constant compliments on my Skagen watches.
I bought this for my husband for our anniversary. He loves it!! The mechanics are classy and it's still easy to read. The only drawback is that it's an "automatic" watch, meaning you need to wind it, and movement keeps it going too. My husband wears this when he's NOT working, for dressier occasions. So keeping time is a bit tricky, he has to set it twice a week when he wears it. He stores it in the box during the rest of the week, so there's not movement to keep it going. A slight hassle, but still a beautiful watch that keeps time if you're planning on constant wear.
