This is a very handsome watch, however, the stretch band is too small for a man. So I had to spend another $30 for a new band. (My hubby is 6 ft. tall, 250 lbs.)
I needed a lightweight watch for hiking because my stainless steel Luminox got heavy while lifting my arm on the trail all day. This was a perfect choice weighing in at just 56 grams. I barely even feel it on my wrist. I love the ice blue tritium markers on the hour marks. It makes telling the time in the middle of the night in the firehouse bunkroom a breeze. It has a 200 meter (656ft) water resistance rating, making this an entry level diver watch. Most of us will not be diving with this but now I don't need to worry at all when I go swimming in the pool. The silicone band is comfortable and allows for many different wrist sizes. I have a smaller wrist and there are still 3 holes left on the band so no one should have a hard time making it fit. The blue everything is very sporty and stylish, matching perfectly with the rest of my black and blue hiking gear. This watch was well worth the money. I'm very happy with my purchase. TIP: buy the Overstock jewelry protection plan because Luminox will not cover certain things because it's from Overstock. And it may halep to clear yup some things the product description. First of all, the watch is made of lightweight carbon reinforced polycarbonate, not stainless steel. Secondly, it has a hardened mineral dial window, not both. It says this on the caseback (see pictures). And thirdly, the caseback is a screw-down, not a snap down (see pictures). Hope that helps some of you considering this product
This timepiece combines long standing tradition with modern look and cool features. This watch tics (!!) because it is mechanical, and its back - a see-through glass - offers a glimpse to its inner-workings. Its face has just enough detail to give it character and yet keep it understated and elegant. The automatic movement and water resistance to 200 meters make this watch highly utilitarian. My least favorite component is the bracelet and clasp, which give an impression that they left the shop before the watchmaker was finished brushing them and checking their adjustment. Also, right after I purchased this watch, I found it elsewhere for over $*** less.
