I needed a lightweight watch for hiking because my stainless steel Luminox got heavy while lifting my arm on the trail all day. This was a perfect choice weighing in at just 56 grams. I barely even feel it on my wrist. I love the ice blue tritium markers on the hour marks. It makes telling the time in the middle of the night in the firehouse bunkroom a breeze. It has a 200 meter (656ft) water resistance rating, making this an entry level diver watch. Most of us will not be diving with this but now I don't need to worry at all when I go swimming in the pool. The silicone band is comfortable and allows for many different wrist sizes. I have a smaller wrist and there are still 3 holes left on the band so no one should have a hard time making it fit. The blue everything is very sporty and stylish, matching perfectly with the rest of my black and blue hiking gear. This watch was well worth the money. I'm very happy with my purchase. TIP: buy the Overstock jewelry protection plan because Luminox will not cover certain things because it's from Overstock. And it may halep to clear yup some things the product description. First of all, the watch is made of lightweight carbon reinforced polycarbonate, not stainless steel. Secondly, it has a hardened mineral dial window, not both. It says this on the caseback (see pictures). And thirdly, the caseback is a screw-down, not a snap down (see pictures). Hope that helps some of you considering this product
It is a very nice Rolex Mariner styled watch. I purchased it because I wanted a 100 meter water resistant stainless steel watch for use at the beach and boating and not have to worry if I lose it or it leaks. This fits the bill, looks nice and has a quality feel and nice heft. The bracelet is solid, not hollow like some other brands at this price. The quartz movement is Miyota, a good Japanese company, but it is their base movement. The stainless case and bracelet are polished nicely, with brushed center links in the bracelet for a nice contrast. The pros are: 100 meter water resistant, accurate quartz movement, screw down crown, large easy to read hands and markers, and all stainless construction. The cons are: The bezel clicks like an old Craftsman wrench when rotated, there is lots of play in the time setting mechanism, the second hand does not always align with the marks on the face and screw down crown feels like there is sand in it right out of the box. But what do you expect for $*? It is what it is, an inexpensive water resistant Rolex styled watch.
