I am a watch guy have over a 100. Vintage and new. This ONE is my favorite.... that says volumes. Color contrast, angled dial, fits perfect. Al ready have had many compliments. I know 3 pp how want to buy this watch. Heck l should be on there payroll for how many l will move for them:) Well Done!!!
I replaced the strangely shiny canvas band with a white resin. Looks 100 times better. Small watch so if you are size conscious don't buy. It is also very light weight resin.
This is my second Stuhrling Original Men's watch. The Atlantis is a very nice watch. If you like larger watches with bigger dials then this watch is definitely for you. There are mixed opinions about the true quality of these watches. Some people say that they fall apart. By that they mean that the black bezel comes loose and pups off the watch face. I am not sure. It never happened to me with any of my watch with rotating bezels. And the once that did come off, they did because they were interchangeable. So I have no opinion either way, mine is functioning very well. It is water resistant to 200 meters. I have tested it by submerging it into a sink full of water and left it there overnight. It worked fine next day. What I am trying to say is this: Most people will never go underwater 200 meters. To me when I purchased this watch what mattered was to have a watch that resists water and does not fog up in the morning at the end of the night shift. It does that very well. And it resist the amount of water that probably I'' ever subject it to. Now could it be better? The glass does sink in at 1:00 'o clock. The glass there dips below the bezel. Everywhere else it is above. It has not represented any problems so far. And if it would I am pretty confident that Stuhrling would take care of it. Get one and put black robber band on it with a clasp. It looks Fantastic ! Good Luck.
I needed a lightweight watch for hiking because my stainless steel Luminox got heavy while lifting my arm on the trail all day. This was a perfect choice weighing in at just 56 grams. I barely even feel it on my wrist. I love the ice blue tritium markers on the hour marks. It makes telling the time in the middle of the night in the firehouse bunkroom a breeze. It has a 200 meter (656ft) water resistance rating, making this an entry level diver watch. Most of us will not be diving with this but now I don't need to worry at all when I go swimming in the pool. The silicone band is comfortable and allows for many different wrist sizes. I have a smaller wrist and there are still 3 holes left on the band so no one should have a hard time making it fit. The blue everything is very sporty and stylish, matching perfectly with the rest of my black and blue hiking gear. This watch was well worth the money. I'm very happy with my purchase. TIP: buy the Overstock jewelry protection plan because Luminox will not cover certain things because it's from Overstock. And it may halep to clear yup some things the product description. First of all, the watch is made of lightweight carbon reinforced polycarbonate, not stainless steel. Secondly, it has a hardened mineral dial window, not both. It says this on the caseback (see pictures). And thirdly, the caseback is a screw-down, not a snap down (see pictures). Hope that helps some of you considering this product
