I bought this for my husband for our 3 yr anniversary in October. He always told me that he wanted a tungsten carbide ring. When I found this one I couldn't believe the price. I read the reviews and decided it was the right road to take. I was actually considering the carbon fiber inlay rings but I noticed that those rings have become incredibly popular over the past year. Overall I am very happy with my purchase and I would recommend this ring to other wives searching for that special ring for their hubbys. It does run very big, I purchased a 10.5 and we had to send it back for a 9.5 which was a tiny bit loose but he decided it was good. Its very heavy too. I also read that someone said their ring came in a beautiful box.....I am thinking maybe they chose the gift wrapping option?? because I expected a beautiful box but when it arrived it was in a dinky cheap white box with a pc of Styrofoam holding it somewhat in place...id say, Go for the gift wrapping option. I actually placed the ring in his original wedding ring box (from Zales) and wrapped it. Enjoy!

I bought this ring as my wedding band. The first ring I received was perfect and looked exactly like the one pictured. However, it was too big. I listened to suggested and ordered up. I returned this first ring and received my second ring. This one was true to size, however the plated section looked dark gray, like hematite, not black like the first one I ordered. However, my true gripe comes from the fact that this ring made me break out in a nasty rash. Thinking I had got something under the ring, I let it heal and tried again, only to have the same results. After much research, I discovered that tungsten carbide rings that use cobalt as a binder cause a nasty skin reaction like the one I had. Therefore, I have concluded that AT LEAST SOME OF THESE RINGS have COBALT as a binder, CONTRARY TO THE DESCRIPTION. Aside from this issue, the ring is very attractive and weighty. However, I am deeply disappointed that I cannot wear the wedding band that is in all of our wedding photos. I will not purchase another tungsten carbide ring from overstock.com because I cannot trust that their descriptions are accurate.

I was on the prowl for a promise ring for my boyfriend and I found it here, he's a tanker for the USMC so I knew I need something tough and reliable, I snuck the box into his cammies as I said good bye to him as he.went off for two months of training, after a week I get a phone call & he's doing laundry & blabbin away & finds the box, I could feel his smile thru the phone, & his military buddies gather around to see this beautiful ring with a note wrapped in the ring saying "i love you today, tomorrow, forever. Wherever you go I will follow this is my promise to you" he said it was a perfect ring for him considering his job & wears it around his neck along with his dogtags. I LOVE YOU OVERSTOCK for giving me that special moment with him. Can't imagine a better quality ring for a better price.

It caught my eye...I got a tungsten carbide ring as a christmas present about 6 years, almost identical to his one, cept it's not black plated, just metallic. Gotta say, if you've never had tungsten carbide jewelry, you'll love it, it's a little on the heavy side, but it doesn't take more than a day or 2 to get used to it...I have had this ring for 6 years, and it has almost never left my finger, I had to take it off for surgery, that's it...and after 6 years and tons of abuse, it looks as shiny and new as the day I got it without anything more than wiping it with my shirt once in a while. I'm told the only thing that can scratch it is a diamond (I've dragged it across brick walls walking past), and it 'never' scratches or tarnishes. Bottom line, you can't beat tungsten carbide jewelry, plus it's inexpensive

We had looked at many mall jewelry stores and although they had nice rings, my husband couldn't find one he loved, AND they were VERY expensive. We got this ring and figured for the price we could try it and return it if we didn't like it. Although I was resistant for my husband to have a black wedding band, when we got it, it was beautiful and I no longer cared. The silver stripe in the center accents the black very nicely. It has a "comfort fit" which is also very nice, and my husband likes it because it doesn't feel very heavy. As for the quality, my husband is an aircraft mechanic so he doesn't wear it to work but he wears it all the time...he has had this for two years and it does not have any scratches on it or anything. Very glad we decided to go with this instead of spending $%))-&)) at a jewelry store!! We have recommended overstock to some of our friends who have had the same problem and been very happy with the quality of their men's rings, so I don't think you would be disappointed with any of them!

I bought this ring for my husband because he expressed how he would really like a Tungsten ring. The ring is absolutely beautiful and we have not had any problems with scratches or anything like that. The only con is that the ring is just a little too wide for him, so when the width is coupled with the weight of the ring, it is simply not very comfortable on his hand. He wears it during the day but takes it off as soon as he gets home. We will end up getting him a different one soon. That being said, if the male's fingers are extremely long (my husband's fingers are just average), then this ring should not be too bothersome. Otherwise, I would suggest going with a 7mm fit instead of the 8mm.

I recently purchased the black-plated carbide comfort fit band for myself because I wanted a ring that withstood getting scratched easily. The ring is heavy which I like but it is not as shinty as the picture seen online which is fine with me. My wife loves my new ring as well as my family and friends! I will definitely recommend this ring to anyone looking at buying one!

I purchased this as the wedding band for my Fiance. He loves the unique style and nontraditional look of the ring. He is originally a 10.5, but I went with the Tungsten sizing suggestions and got a 10. It fit him perfectly. He enjoyed the weight and said it was very comfortable. This is the first time I've ever purchased a Tungsten and I wouldn't go back to ever purchasing anything else like Titanium. Tungsten has a great quality and is durable. It doesn't scratch and can be worn in even the most rigid environments, e.g. exercising, sports (if allowed to wear a ring), general work.

i bought this ring for my husband and we were so excited when we got it. Both of us thought it was an amazing looking ring. WE did end up having to order a different size. it definitely runs a half size to big. Its a very unique ring and he always had people complimenting him on it . but after a few months the black began to wear off. he has now had it six months and its almost completely silver. im tempted to order another one and keep it for when he dresses up or we r going out. but i feel its a bit of a waist. so like i said i LOVE the way it looks but am very DISAPPOINTED in the way it has held up in such a short time.

I really liked this ring the first time I saw it. It wasn't your typical silver wedding band the black added a spice to it but after a year of wearing it the plated tungsten carbide started to wear off so the ring was almost competely black. It didn't look bad but it just wasn't shinny anymore the tungsten went dull. My husband still would have worn the ring but he wanted a thinner band for his shorter fingers that's the only reason I bought another one for him. Other then that he still would have been wearing this ring for years.

I ordered this ring for my husband as a replacement band. I had originally ordered the Tungsten band when we had first gotten married. But with him being in the military, fixing blackhawks, the chemicals tarnished the ring severely. I found this one and thought it fit him perfectly. He always wanted a black ring and with the silver band, it still matched mine. I couldn't be happier with what we got. The first one I ordered was a little too big, so I went a half size smaller with this one and if fits perfectly. I am very pleased with this purchase.

I purchased this ring for my fiance who stated if he had to buy me a ring, I had to buy him one. He picked it out as a "fun" ring before he'll wear the more traditional wedding band. I do recommend going half a size smaller than normal, which apparently is common with "comfort fit." He is normally a 9.5 but we ordered a 9 and it is perfect. It's somewhat heavy, but he likes the weight and says it doesn't pinch or get in his way. He really likes it and makes a point to show it off to friends and family. It is very shiny and smooth and looks just like the picture. Absolutely no complaints. Definitely recommended.

We bought this ring to be a wedding ring for my husband. It is very sharp looking--looks even better in person. It is quite heavy (as tungsten rings are) and seems to be very durable and of good quality. My husband has never worn rings so he is still getting used to the feel and weight of it. The size does run big (maybe because of the "comfort fit?") We had his ring finger measured at a professional jewelry shop and they recommended $$. After reading the reviews I ordered a 10.5 for him and it fits pretty well--it's definitely not too small though, maybe just a little loose. I would recommend ordering at least 1/2 size smaller. He's only been wearing it for a couple of weeks so I can't say how well it holds up over time, but overall we love it! It looks exactly the same as one at the jewelry store that cost $$$. Beautiful ring and can't beat the price!

I purchase this ring for my husband because his ring is a little too big on his figure and it's not a comfort fit, so when I saw this ring on overstock, I felt in love with it. I just received the ring today and it's absolutely stunning, I gave it to my husband and he really liked it too, you should see a big smile on his face, he was very happy, but too bad it's a little too big as well. I'm sending it back tomorrow and will exchange for a smaller size, hopefully it'll fit right this time, I can't wait to get the right size for him. Not to mention the shipping was very fast, it's only take 2 days from the day I place my order for me to received it in the mail, I'm very please with Overstock, been a customer almost 10 years now, very please with the customer service too, customer service rep was very helpful and extremely nice. Great service, good product and very good price too, the ring that my husband had cost as twice as much and the quality is not as good as this one. It is an extremely comfortable fit. It does run about 1/2 size too big.

I ordered this ring on Friday & received it on Monday. I was quite surprised by the quick shipping. I used the ring sizing guide & played around with it several times until I came up with what I thought my size would be. I wound up pulling it tight around my finger to determine the size I needed was a 12. I was worried that it would not fit since the ring is described as a comfort fit size. Surprisingly it fits great. I could have gone a half size smaller & still had a good fit, but I'm happy with it as is. The ring looks great, it has a solid feel to it & is very comfortable to wear.

This ring is quite beautiful and was an impressive Anniversary gift to my husband who is an Army Soldier. It is very tough, stunning, and a durable tungsten band. The ring runs a size big due to the Comfort Fit Band. Make sure you order 1 size smaller. We initially ordered his regular size 13 and ended up exchanging for a size 12. The 12 fit perfectly. Customer Service expedited my shipping to 2nd day Air and actually sent out the ring while we still had the size 13. Received the ring in two days and the representative emailed me a shipping label and the easy to follow instructions on the incorrect size 13 ring return. Very impressed with the timely customer service response and their ultimate professionalism in handling my concerns.
