I bought this ring for my husband, seeing as how it looks identical to the one's sold at the jewelry store but for a fraction of the price. The ring is nice and exactly what he wanted but it already has scratches on it. We think it happened while working out but either way we expected this ring to be scratch resistant.
I had purchase this ring a few years back on a different website for my best friends as a Christmas gift. Unfortunately, the site sold out of my size so I've been pining for this ring since then. Whenever I see my friends wear their rings, I cannot help but sigh at how pretty it looks on them. Imagine my surprise when I found it on Overstock! The price was great and when the ring arrived I remembered all over again why I got it for my girlfriends in the first place. The patina of the darker area isn't as black as it is in the website's photos but a more pleasant antique shade that makes this ring appear as if it was handed down to you from your beloved grandmother. The prongs are smooth to the touch and the ring isn't overwhelming on my size 4.5/5 finger. The diamond accent is literally just an accent so I wouldn't even bother with that. But the smokey quartz is a nice size and the overall look of the ring is worth it for the price I paid. I'm wearing it right now even as I type this. Super fun ring with a vintage look and feel to it. Only wished Overstock sold the matching pendant for this as well. *hint-hint*
I have been looking for an oval engagement ring for awhile now...and this was almost perfect. For the price, I went with the halo ring instead that was less than half the price. If only the basket had the ring of little diamonds, i would have been sold. still really nice, but just not convinced.
She was surprised and so it goes, ONE note though as with most of the Jewelry sold on here I have found out that everything runs on the SMALLER side so if your woman is older than a first grader, order the 20 inch or more....
