I purchased this watch as a replacement for a vintage 30 jewel Bulova. It is a gorgeous watch....simple but classy. The case, face and band are period correct for a Timeless Classic...I like the look of the polished case with the brushed lugs. One thing I changed, however, was the band. I thought that the one that came with the watch didn't do it justice...too plain and a little on the large scale. I found a wonderful stretch bracelet in a polished and brushed gold finish that really shows off the watch itself. The case size is perfect, I hardly know this watch is on my wrist. No disappointment here.
I spent a couple hours researching and checking prices and settled on the Hamilton. Not seeing it in person, one always takes a risk, but this watch exceeded my expectations.
This is a railroad legacy timepiece. My grandfather gave me a Hamilton RR pocket watch and this new Hamilton wrist watch just made sense. The size is 44 or 45 mm in diameter which is a excellent size for a wrist watch. The hour and minute hands have glowing tips as well as each hour mark. The exhibition back is always a positive for someone who appreciates the craftsmanship of a fine watch movement. The exaggerated date window is awesome as I don't have to squint to see what the date is. This should be an heirloom much like grandfathers pocket watch.
Nice watch, came in Hamilton box just like it would from a store. I was worried I would get a knockoff or something, but it's the real deal. The only downside is no Hamilton warranty as it doesn't come from an authorized retailer. I spent the extra few bucks for the warranty, so it's whatever.
