I love this ring! It fits great and is very comfortable. No, it's not comparable to a diamond, but I wasn't expecting that. It's gorgeous and I love it! My fiance proposed with what I thought would be my ring, similar to this one but it was the 2 carat white sapphire. It was giant and looked tacky on me since I have such small hands. The 1 carat white sapphire is much more sparkly as well, whereas the 2 carat one was very foggy and looked somewhat like plastic. I'm much more happy with this purchase and totally suggest it as an engagement ring for small hands and couples on a budget.
I've had this ring for 2 weeks and I've debated returning it almost every day. It is debatable whether the center stone can be considered gem quality. I was expecting flaws, because it is I1-I2, but the entire center stone is flawed from the center to two sides and unfortunately the flaws keep this stone from sparkling. The two side stones are what I expected with an I1-I2, some flaws, but they still sparkle. The smaller diamonds are of good quality, in fact they may be SI, because they sparkle and do not have any blemishes that I can see with my "naked" eye. The metal work is yet another disappointment. One side of the circle is actually an oval, and the gold that surrounds every stone in beads is melted in places, disorganized and just poor quality. The ring would be beautiful, in theory. I love the vintage look and the style, I just wish they had taken more care in creating the ring. I could forgive the fact that the diamonds are low quality, or the poor metal work if it had beautiful diamonds, but the fact that both are visible at a quick glance and even more so if the ring is stared at, moves me to return the ring. My ring is also missing 1 to 2 diamonds! I have a total of 39. Overstock says that there should be 40 total, but the way the description reads, it should have one .5 ct center stone and 40 additional stones at 1 ct. I understood this as 41 stones with TDW of 1.5 ct. I'm going to exchange this ring for the same ring, and maybe it will be of higher quality. I'll post again when I get it. Wish me luck ;)
My husband bought this for me as a replacement for my original wedding set that was lost. My previous set was white gold. I decided on this ring in rose gold. In the picture it does look bigger than it really is. I have long, thin fingers (size 4.5) and it does look a little small for being 1 1/2 carats. It is very sparkly though and not overpowering. I am looking into getting one or two bands to complete the wedding set. If you're considering this band, go for it. It's gorgeous and worth the money. I've had it for about a week now and so far so good. I fall more and more in love with it every day. Thank you overstock for making it possible to get and afford what I desire...
What a fantastic price for the carat quality and uniqueness of this ring. The center stone actually sits up quite high due to the prong setting, large carats, and princess cut. So it definitely catches the eye, I never thought a black Diamond could sparkle like a clear one! This totally does. I'll tell you, if you are looking for something unique, gorgeous, and that will cause envy to anyone who sees it... this is the ring for you. I DO!!!!!!
