I fell in love with this ring the minute I saw the picture. And I was hoping that when I received the ring that it would be as pretty as the picture. I was surprised to see that it's so much more than the picture depicts. It's beautiful, it shines and I love the vintage look of it. I ordered the ring on Friday, and received it the following Thursday (and that is during a holiday weekend.) I would definitely recommend this ring, the workmanship is incredible. I hope those that purchase this ring will enjoy it as much as I enjoy mine.
This ring was bought for my daughter for her birthday. We looked at several rings and at several sites and decided to purchase this one. The price was several hundred dollars less than other sites. We were not disappointed when it came. The cut of the black diamond made it sparkle and shine like a white diamond dose. Most black diamonds do not shine as much, because they absorb the light rather than reflect it. It also doesn't set up high to catch it on things. She has had so many compliments on the ring. She wears it all the time.
This is a beautiful ring. The two things that bother me are that the diamonds at the very sides are a little scratchy to my fingers on either side (in other words, I wish they hadn't come so far down the ring). The other thing is that the pillow diamonds are smaller than I hoped. They look like an anomaly rather than the focus of the ring. Other than those two things, it is a well-made, lovely ring that sparkles and catches people's attention. For the price, it is a lovely piece of jewelry!
I'm usually not a fan of these sorts of "crossover" style rings as I generally find them too trendy and not timeless enough. However, I was inextricably drawn to this particular design and when it went on sale, I had no good reason not to give it a try. The ring arrived very quickly despite having been shipped from the opposite coast. The ring itself is well made and substantialnothing flimsy or "tin-y" here. The black diamonds are nice though they do have a silvery flash to them that isn't apparent from the pictures on the website. If you've ever seen pyrite stones, the surface sheen/flash is similar to that. This is neither a negative or positive, but I thought it was worth mentioning. The white diamonds are where this ring is a bit lacking. While they colorless enough, the clarity leaves much to be desired. I was apprehensive about this potential issue going in given that the low clarity rating is explicitly given in the description. It was for this very reason that I decided to order this ring in the sterling silver option instead of investing any more money in the identically designed 10k white gold option that is also offered on this site. The white diamonds are a bit milky/lackluster for my taste, but I can't complain too much given the price point of this ring. I was really hoping to fall in love with this design, but because of the white diamond quality, I'm still on the fence. It's a bit of a shame as the design itself is interesting and I would have gladly paid a little more money to get better stones.
