I love the style of these earrings and they are very solid and well made. They actually hang lower than I expected , but they look very nice and glitzy. Like many of the other reviews, I believe the stones are so large that they don't look real, but they are fun and dressy. For the price they can't be beat!
These solitaire CZ earrings are gorgeous!! They seem very appropriate for me: a woman of "a certain vintage" ;-), and I intend to ROCK them boldly and frequently! They are just the right size for me: (1ct in each ear)....not too big...not too small. The particular cut of this CZ stone ("100 Facets") is fascinating. When you look at them closely you can see that they have many more/smaller facets than typical round cut stones. I wasn't sure how that would translate into visibility or sparkle and shine: but they outshine every similar piece in my collection. Very beautiful....and I've been careful to pay attention to how they look in any lighting: they ALWAYS absolutely sparkle brightly...no matter at what angle you might see them from. I was VERY attracted to the fact that these are on settings that are PLATINUM over SILVER. Silver is more inexpensive than gold, but can tarnish. Platinum is known for it's high durability and slightly "warmer" white color....and it doesn't tarnish. Because these are being worn in your ears: they will not take the wear and tear that a ring or a bracelet might: so I am not anticipating the platinum will wear much over time. That means you get a white metal setting to pop the sparkle of the stones, and no tarnishing....all at a great price. They do come with a fairly small sized butterfly clutch on the back: so the stones do tend to droop forward a bit. HOWEVER: I found a larger clasp with a flat disk back and secure rubber gasket inside the clasp.....that did the trick, and I have had no more problems with these sitting appropriately on my ear. SOooo glad I got them. You just can't beat them for the price. If you are still reading this review: consider treating yourself!!
Photo when ordering gave these earings the appearance that the gemstones were a darker purple color but they are very light blue. I wanted them to match amethyst and tanzanite ring I bought at the same time. This same issue happened lat Christmas when I bought opal earings and ring, they looked like they matched on line but not at all once received. These are still pretty and can be worn with other jewelry I have.
