I am an 80 plus woman who, after 3 hospitalization in the last 15 months, has lost a lot of weight and has a 5 inch wrist. None of my watches fit and I could not even find a new one to buy which fits. A previous reviewer said he or she bought this one for someone else with the same problem. Because of the velcro band, it JUST fits. It's not fancy, but it works and it's a timex which means it should last me the rest of my life.
This is the perfect watch for kids who are learning to tell time. I currently have a son in the 2nd grade and he loves this watch. He's been telling me the time every since I gave it to him. This is a great product. I LOVE Overstock.com!
I got this for my 4-year-old for his birthday and the product fits him well. He likes buttons and lights, and I love the opportunity for him to get familiar with his numbers. I love every time he informs me the time is "L5B" (7:58). We sometimes sit and count the seconds together (he's still sometimes forgets 15 on his own). We've even built it into his naps/timeouts ("quiet time will be over when this number is a two"). He has such a raging enthusiasm for his numbers/letters - it's great to have a tool to try to keep up with him!
My son loves his new watch and doesn't ever want to take it off. I won't let him wear it swimming, but he did get water splashed on it at the beach and it was no problem. He likes the indiglow lighti for night time, and has had fun setting the alarm on it. We can't figure out how to reset am to pm, though, but then again I am technologically challenged. The only problem with this watch, if you are concerned about such things, is that it doesn't give your child practice at reading a regular (non-digital)watch
