Zero Gravity Extra Wide Recliner Lounge Chair

I ordered the chair for my husband to use at the shop when he wanted to take a nap. It also was XL and my husband is 260 lbs and 6'2" so I needed something big. The brown color wouldn't show dirt and hair when the shop kitties got on it. So I thought it would be a good choice. After ordering it I read the review that said it was not a Zero Gravity chair and I tried to cancel but it was too late. In the mean time I ordered a "Lafuma Futura XL Zero Gravity Chair" and a "Coral Coast Extra Wide Padded Zero Gravity Lounge Chair". The Lafuma is definitely a well made comfortable chair but it was only 21" across the seat as apposed to this chair which was 24.5" . And the Coral Coast made a lot of noise when opened and had a bar under the seat that hurt bad when you sat on it. This Zero gravity Extra Wide Recliner is a great chair for the money (half the price of the Lafuma) very comfortable and it is a Zero gravity chair also.

I've looked at these lounge chairs for a couple of years and finally bought them. They are extremely comfortable! I bought four XL lounges because I'm overweight and didn't want to feel cramped - they are wide and have plenty of room to spare. I'm still working on elevating the chair without some work - I think it will get easier the more I do it - but once it's up, it's fantastic. I've never fallen asleep in my regular teak lounge chairs (that have wonderful cushion), but I can see many naps in my future in these lounges! Don't wait to buy them!

The recliner is comfortable once you get the chair situated. The one bad thing about the recliners is that there are two levers, one on each side, that you have to pop up in order to recline the seat back. Once back it is in desired position you must pop the levers down. In order to put seat back in upright position you must go through the above mentioned steps again. Really just not user friendly. If you reposition the seat back w out popping the levers, which is actually possible, the manufacture states that you will stip the screws and the chair will never be able to hold its position. The levers are not easy to manipulate. Had to get my husband to help me at first cause the levers were so tight. Otherwise, very comfortable. Made of plastic and hollowed out iron rods. Seat itself is made from everyday lawn chair plastic.

I bought this chair for my husband for father's day - I thought it would be welcomed since he works in construction and is often vry tired and with a sore back. I was right (for once!). He loves it and the chair has become his favorite piece of furniture. I hope he doesn't think he'll be setting it up in the living room when winter comes. The wide seat is great so he doesn't feel pegged in. The construction is sturdy and it was effortless to set up, use and put away. Now if he would only buy one for me now!

I like the way this chair looks on the pool deck. I bought it in beige and the color is nice in FL. No assembly required, which was a good thing. It tends to lean back a little more than I'd like, making it kind of hard for this senior to get in and out of, but I may learn how to stop the back from moving back farther while I'm trying to be seated. I'd like to sit up straighter for reading.

Although this is NOT a true zero gravity chair (trust me, you can feel the difference), it is a comfortable lounge chair - extra wide for those of us with a little extra fluff. I do like the chair, but I wish it was zero gravity. I have a number of zero gravity chairs from a variety of manufacturers and I know enough about how they feel when fully reclined to know this ISN'T ONE. To remedy the problem, I would change the descrption from Zero Gravity Extra wide recliner lounge chair to Extra wide recliner lounge chair.

I used this chair while I was home for a few months recovering from an operation that left me tired most of the day. I needed somewhere I could relax with my legs up other than the only two homies at the time my sofa and my bed. Great for reading, napping,I even dragged it to barbecue in the park. But don't expect for it to lock into position and stay like others have warned. I'm 5'9 and a heavy woman and have had no issues with this chair.

I ordered this for my 6'1" husband that complained other zero gravity chairs we have weren't long enough for him to recline comfortably. This chair fits him very nicely. Longer than others we have but not too long that I'm also comfortable in it at just 5'1". Would recommend to anyone looking for a quality recliner.

The zero gravity chairs were just as they were stated! Easy to use comfortable and the color was exact. I have bought other chairs before that were zero gravity and were not as comfortable or as easy to use! I would highly recommend these to purchase!!

I purchased this chair for someone with a chronic back problem and they said it is the most comfortable chair they have ever sat in. It is as if you are suspended so that nothing hurts your back. I would highly recommend it for anyone but especially for those with back issues.

A few months after purchasing the chairs rusted. They are kept in a highly protected area, under a roof & still they rusted within a few months. Very disappointing! Even more disappointing no one cared much about the issue.

I bought two of these for our beach house. They're the first chairs people go for. The material is breathable and dries quickly, and I like the fact that there is a locking mechanism on the ones I bought so you can set it at a particular angle and lock it in place. When you're ready to get up or want to change the angle, just unlock the mechanism and you're all set.

This chair was comfortable for my husband who is 6'1. The regular sized chairs hit his back in an uncomfortable place.

Comfortable for me, but a little hard to push back, and a little tricky to keep "balanced" in the zero gravity position. Had bought it for my mother, who needed to raise her feet above her heart. At 5'2.5", she was too short to reach the foot bar necessary for keeping the chair in the zero-gravity position. I gave the chair to my 5'8" daughter.

Love my chair! Perfect to enjoy coffee in the early morning sun.

I recently herniated a disc in my back and needed something comfortable to rest in. Laying in bed or on the floor quickly got old. Since all the chairs and sofas in my home only aggravated my back, I ordered this chair hoping it’s zero gravity feature would be comfortable. Although the delivery took longer than I hoped, it was worth the wait because it is wonderfully comfortable. I now have a pain free spot to recline and read or take a nap while I recover. The chair itself appeared durable, not flimsy, and well made. It’s mechanics glide quietly and smoothly. The color was understated so it does not stick out like a sore thumb in my living room since it is an outdoor lawn chair afterall. Another great buy!

The chair is well made typical gravity chair. Its wide enough for large person and looks great. No assembly required and it came on time. Its good napping chair . i am pleased with this purchase thx overstock!! I have seen them $20 cheaper but not delivered to the door!!

Very comfortable. Convenient to take on outings to park, beach.
