I bought ten Havahart traps because our pasture is full of ground squirrels. The first evening we put them out we caught squirrels. This is such a better way to get rid of them because I didn't want to poison them. It's very easy to release the traps to relocate them. FYI, we put two animal crackers with peanut butter in each trap. Thanks Havahart!
After 2 weeks of trying to catch a mouse in our house with other (plastic) cruelty-free traps, we decided to try the Havahart traps based on a recommendation from a coworker. Within 5-10 minutes of setting the trap, the mouse was caught (not an exaggeration!!). The trap did not injure the mouse at all and we let him go far away from our house. GREAT product that worked quickly and efficiently.
These "Havahart® X-Small 2-Door Traps" and the "Havahart® X-Small 1-Door Traps" are GREAT. I love them. So far in the last 30 days these traps have captured 33 chipmunks. I've got 3 of the X-Small 1-Door Traps and just received 3 more of the X-Small 2-Door Traps giving me six of the X-Small 2-Door Traps. I live in town with a very small woods next to me. Seems to be a great area for chipmunks. They were always digging in the yard and under the deck. I see them running along the side of the house, the side of the shed, and running along the fence row. So, that's where I put the traps. I don't use any bait, just wait for them to try and scamper through. In addition to the chipmunks, these traps have captured a bunch of mice, several rabbits, a few squirrels, and a few shrews. As I said before, I love these traps. A quick ride down to the big city park, and they all have a new home. I've noticed a lot less damage and mess around the house left by these animals, and the wife is very happy that her plants aren't being eaten, so much, any more. If you have problems with critters of ANY kind I highly recommend these traps. They have traps for most any animal you may want to relocate. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
We had a large armadillo ravaging our yard. We positioned the Havahart along the path it used and caught the critter without having to use any bait. The animal has been relocated several miles from our home. Follow the Havahart instructions and be patient. The trap works just like Havahart describes.
