I recently purchased this greenhouse and built it this past weekend. I was surprised when UPS dropped off two relatively small boxes and the metal supports and plastic panels seemed a lot thinner than I anticipated.
When I started building I was also concerned about the lack of rigidity. However once built the structure seems very strong. I will update my review if I have any issues with strong wind and damage.
It took about 6 hours of building. The instructions were ok, but I would have preferred a little written narrative about what is going on instead of just the visual. Some steps were a little tricky to figure out. I assembled it by myself and had no issues, although a second person to hold some supports would probably help.
I find the 8x6 a perfect size for a starter to grow fruit and vegetables. I am glad I did not go with the 6x4 version which would have been too small. For the price and the quality I expect to get about 5 years of good use out of it. I don't think it will last anywhere as long as a regular glass greenhouse.
I created a level foundation with wood 4x4's and drilled the greenhouse base to the wood, with a thin layer of foam insulation between the metal frame and wood base. There were pre-drilled holes in the greenhouse base which made it easy.
Finally, I used a 20% coupon which I got via email which made this a great price, especially with the lack of shipping cost. Although the coupon said furniture only it worked with this greenhouse. I saved about $***-*** from buying elsewhere.
Mine didn't really come with anything to speak of making adjustments according to temperature and width of opening, so I just experimented until I got what I wanted. They do work very well to open the windows without being one more thing for me to have to attend to, so well worth the cost. Do be very careful and attentive during installation though, as during assembly, one snapped shut while I was holding it and nearly guillotined my finger tip off, which was quite painful and quite messy and put me out of working on my greenhouse until it healed.
we received the greenhouse last week. we were very excited but there are parts missing. we immediately contacted overstock and ask for the pieces to be expedited as this was to be a surprise for my mother ..we have yet to receive the parts or hear that they are on the way. the parts are instrumental in getting the greenhouse up. also some of the parts were not numbered properly....when I contacted you I was told it would be 2-5 days. that was last Friday so now the greenhouse is only partially erected and there are several very disappointed people.
I have been shopping around for a green house and this is the one I like, it looks nice and I can move around in it. The one I had was too short and no room to do any thing. I'm excited to plant veggies for the winter.
I love this green house, also has the option of expanding if I want later on.
Purchased for my wife for Mother's Day. Much more difficult to understand the directions than you would think. I had to take it apart twice as I realized that parts were not assembled in the correct manner. However, once put together correctly, it has withstood a hurricane that destroyed my neighbors shed. My wife loves it!
After reviewing many greenhouses, I felt this was the best, and I was not wrong. If six stars was possible I would give it six. It has been installed for about a week now. What I like is the quality of construction, the sturdiness once installed, the ease of installation, the interior height, and the extras that come with the premium greenhouse. But what I like the most is the level of service I received from Riverstone Industries the greenhouse manufacturer. My order originated with a third party who then ordered through Overstock. There was a mistake in the order made by the third party and Riverstone went to great lengths to help clear it up. I also talked with the greenhouse manager, who turned out to be the owner, and he gave me about 15 minutes instruction on the use of the greenhouse, which was very helpful as this is my first greenhouse. I am confident if I have any manufacturing difficulties they would be solved very quickly.
I had to return these shelves because there wasn't enough wall space (where you could screw in the brackets) to install them in my 8 x 8 Palram greenhouse. I purchased the heavier metal shelf and decided to keep that one instead. They seemed to be well-made and I'm sure they would work well with lighter plants/pots.
I am a 65 year old grandmother who likes to do her own work and will tackle most projects. After painting my house, my next project was tilling my front "lawn" (tough weeds and dead grass) and getting rid of 90% of it so that I can re-seed. I knew I couldn't dig it up by myself so I shopped around for a tiller. On a limited retiree's budget, I had to shop economically and pray that I wouldn't be buying junk. Oh how delighted I am with my Earthwise Tiller!!! It's an exceptional value at a pretty modest price. It was easy for me, a grannie, to assemble the handle pieces and it's super easy to use! Not too much for me to handle but packed with power to do the job I need! I am very happy that took a chance and bought the Earthwise. It's an amazing little machine!
The mailbox was exactly as pictured. Much heavier than the types found in the big box stores. You will need to purchase anchors to attach to your post, but i believe this is the case with all boxes. Do not let that deter you from purchasing. This is a great mailbox.
This mailbox replaced our builder grade, stamped steel black mailbox. There's no comparison. This mailbox looks great, is sturdy and well made, aluminum so it won't rust, has a solid full size door with a strong hinge and magnetic closure. The handle is very nice for opening and closing the door, compared to other knobs or tangs. I think it's a great value even at a bit higher price than many other standard mailboxes. The only improvement I can think of might be to include a flat insert for the inside bottom of the mailbox. It's cast aluminum and has ribs that run from front to back to strengthen the mailbox. Also the screws that mount the mailbox to the matching post are visible inside the mailbox, and are raised slightly from the bottom of the mailbox, although still below the ribs. I was slightly concerned about magazines getting snagged and tearing on the screws, although so far it hasn't happened. It appears the ribs prevent that as well as strengthening the mailbox. I wish we had found it sooner!
Love this gazebo. But, assembly not for a beginner. Minimum 2 people, 3 or 4 better to actually get it up on its 6 legs. Other than awkward and heavy, went together fairly easily. Note that ours had no holes drilled in one of the legs and small section on 2 of the roof panels had slight crush damage on edge, possible leak. Customer Service at Overstock was great. Even though we were a few weeks past 30 day return date (we delayed in assembling) they ordered replacement panels no problem.
My last gazebo was one of those *** or *** specials with cloth roof. It otally twisted and disintegrated in first big wind , waste of several hundred dollars and labor. This one looks like it will really last.
I really needed a very secure mailbox after recent mail thefts in my area. I did extensive research on numerous websites, in addition to manufacturer's websites and decided on this mailbox for the following reasons: This mailbox is USPS approved. I don't require my mailbox to be 'Fort Knox-like'...that's overkill for me. I just need a secure mailbox, that locks and has the ability to keep vandals out. It's a really good looking mailbox with a very modern look.
I couldn't be happier with my choice and the price on Overstock was better than any other website that I've compared.
As in the past, Overstock was amazing to deal with. My mailbox showed up in the Manufacturer's box and was delivered two days later. This is why I always check Overstock first and keep coming back to them.
I highly recommend this product. I'm very happy.
Well made aluminum mailbox with plenty of space a few weeks of mail.... it is a big large, though; it's like having a small file cabinet on your mail post. Convenient shopping at a fair price with quick shipping. Thanks once again, Overstock!
When I took this snow blower out of the box, I thought "I just blew $XXX". It's so small and light I didn't think it could possibly work. I was completely amazed the first time I used it. It threw the snow further than my old gas powered blower. It's much quieter and really cleans out the snow. One recommendation to anyone buying this unit is to get a cold weather extension cord. It will save you a lot of frustration.
Yhis works great for fresh snow. Dont wait for the snow to get warm or packed down. It will scrape the pavement well. It is battery powered and it seems to last a long time. Power cord is a nice backup option but i haye the cords. Battery charged quickly and the led lights are bright. Lightweight and easy to move around.
