  • THEY LIE SO YOU BUY

I bought this AC soley because it is advertised as "Made in the USA" which is a rarity and as a good american, I have a policy of not buying anything that has been on a boat. The manufacturer is "American Comfort (small print-worldwide)", which also lends to the illusion that an american taxpayer has a job making AC units. Imagine my disgust when my new AC was unpacked emblazoned with 'Made in China' all over it. If it wasnt for my wife and infant at home and a very hot summer, I would have sent the communist, disposable, piece of you know what right back. Have been marginally satisfied with its performance. I had a window unit much smaller than this red elephant that cooled as well or better last year. DONT BUY!

  • Tried tow of them and still not coolling

This 13000 BTU American Comfort portable AC did not work at arrival even after waiting 24 hours to settle the gas. A replacement one also did not work. I suspect that each time the coil gets damaged during transportation and, after getting cracked leaks away the freon gas.

    Verified Purchase

It was advertised as Made in USA... product label states "Made in China", the product works but this is false advertising. For it's price, the worksmanship is of low quality.
