I have bought these in both colors and have installed in various properties I own? Why? Because they rent the place. People walk in, take one look at the curtains and want to live there. I have never shown a house or apartment to anyone who didn't make a point of commenting positively when they saw these curtains. Well off anf financially challenged people alike. They A really beautiful, and they look exactly like the picture. The fabric itself feels like combed cotten, not synthetic. I have hung them in several different properties and locations, if I hang them in windows that get TONS of light, they have a warm yellowish-ivory glow, but are otherwise off-white. They are not blackout curtains but give a bright room a warm ambiance. So far I have not found a location it doesn't suit them. I forgot them in the kitchen to stage a place and they look great. I've put them in a man cave and it gave the room an mod mid century vibe. They are a natural fit for a living room or a bedroom. In fact I think the next time overstock has a sale I'm going to by some for my own bedroom. As other people have noted, they look very expensive. And they hang as nicely as grommet topped curtains. If you love the look, you won't be disatisfied with the quality. I highly recommend.
I've had one of these for several years and it's been great. Really cute design. When I moved into a new place, I had another window that needed a rod so I bought another one in the appropriate size for that window. Couldn't be happier!
I got the ivory color and they are pretty....look expensive. My sliding door in the dining room takes two panels and I placed one panel on the on each of the narrow windows flanking the fireplace in the living room.
I don't normally have a problem with items ordered from Overstock, but this vendor was disappointing. I rated the valance 4 stars because it does look nice with the matching quilt I already had, but each valance has come with varying lengths. I only purchased one at the beginning, but when I realized the window was wider than I thought, I purchased a second one. When the second one arrived, it was 2 inches longer and had a liner where the first one had no liner. I started the return process on Jan. 2 to return the 1st valance since it was clearly defective. I had to call Overstock twice to find out where the replacement was and finally received it on Jan. 30. When I placed the replacement valance on the window, it was about a half inch shorter than the "good" valance! At least they both have liners now even if the liners aren't even! I'll just live with it and hope that over night guests won't notice!
