I really like my new bedframe. I think it is beautifully made. If I were to offer one criticism; I would say that railing that hold up the boxsprings seem a bit flimsy. It hasn't broken yet but I have heard it creak and I am not that heavy. The headboard and footboard really make this bed stand out. the side reailing keep up the lavish illusion but the hidden part; which is the railings don't seem sturdy enough to hold weight. The railings goes the width of the frame but not the length of it. Consequently it just seems like there is something not quite right. I plan on getting railing for another bed and putting it on this frame to make it more sturdy. I believe that will make this a perfect bedframe.

As pictured, this bedframe is gorgeous when everything is put together. It looks very elegant at a decent price. The wave effect creates a lighting illusion on the head & foot boards, which is beautiful. However, the slats provided are barely long enough to fully rest on the side rails (maybe an inch too short). My boyfriend needed to hammer in the short flimsy nails (provided) at an angle to secure the slats to the side rails, and even then he had doubts about how stable it will be. If the slats were long enough (it would've been nicer to have a few more of them as well for stability), he could've simply rested the slats on the side rails and the center support instead of having to use nails to secure them. Oh, I almost forgot that the center support seems a bit short too. I've bought a few beds from Ikea before, and the slats provided were always sufficient, and those beds were a couple hundred bucks cheaper than this. Please note this bedframe is intended to be used with a low-profile boxspring in addition to your mattress. I would give it 5 stars for appearance, 1 star for providing insufficient length slats & center support, but since I've been sleeping on it for more than a month now and don't notice anything wrong and it being unstable, I'm willing to give it 4 stars. I would only order this bed if you have someone handy who can help you make adjustments to make the shorter-than-ideal slats & center support stable enough to support your mattress.
