First, let me state the obvious: This is an EXPENSIVE watering can. In fact, some might say that you'd be out of your mind to spend this type of money on a watering can... you know, the things you can buy at Walmart for $2 all summer long. But let me say this: you've never truly watered your plants until you've done it with this can. It's quite remarkable just how much water flows from it, but it does so in a way that is so gentle your plants hardly bend. It's not a stream or a dribble or a leaky combination of those like you get from cheap watering cans. It really is like a gentle rain. For the first time ever I was able to water seedlings without fear of washing half of them away or disturbing the freshly planted ground. Expensive yes. But if you water a lot of plants, it's well worth the investment. The can itself is made of a heavy, durable plastic. The "rose" is brass and stays on very well. No complaints.
This is a great little watering can. It's an excellent substitute for the much more expensive metal version. I have two plants in my office and this small is just right for watering both of them in one trip to the faucet every Sunday. I love this product. And the sage is a really nice light green. I just keep it out right near the plants and it is cute there.
It does not get any better than this. The capacity is generous ! The wooden handles make carrying and sprinkling comfortable and controlled! The balance is perfect when watering! No more struggling with cheap and inferior plastic department store watering cans. The only minus is the weight when full. I think that the weight is OK, but my fiancé disagrees. The fine rose produces a gentle rain. Excellent quality and workmanship. Guaranteed for 10 years but is rated for 20 years life expectancy. Accessories are available to make this product even more useful. And no, I have not received this as a sample for my honest review ! The price is high, but well worth the investment for classic looks, superb quality and fine attention to all of the details (like real brass cap nuts to secure the wooden handles). I've never enjoyed watering so much! It's no longer a chore!
