This blender is pretty costly. I ordered it because it got pretty good reviews. The problem I had was that the blender jar did not hook down and the blender is very powerful. It kept popping off and the part that turns got chewed up. I returned the blender and ordered a KitchenAid for half the price, which works much better.

  • Quality blender

This is my first blender and i've very pleased with the quality. The only issue is that you can't put too much ice in at once. Otherwise I don't have any complaints.

Purchased to make green smoothies. Didn't want to spend twice as much for a Vitamix. As per other reviewers, it's loud. Probably not much louder than a coffee grinder but louder than a regular blender. I wrap a heave bath towel around it to muffle it as to not disturb condo neighbors. No complaints so far. It does liquify kale. Pleased so far.

  • Works better then expected!
    Verified Purchase

This review is based on a two week period. As a person who makes green smoothies daily I would recommend this blender. I was always pushed towards the VitaMix and Blendtec models but this works probably just as well. I believe the difference between those models is that this one is 1hp and the other brands were 3hp. Needless to say, this thing is powerful. There have not been any vegetables that I have had any problems blending yet. Kale, celery, herbs, mango, orange, apple, etc. All of it is blended quickly with no chunks on the low setting. Surprisingly the high setting has been overkill. I do chop the ingredients before putting them into the blender though to make it easier but so far no problems. Also, the operation of the device is simple. Plug it in, turn to low or high then turn it off. If there are any negatives it would be the noise and the size of the carafe. Seems smaller but the plastic it's made out of makes it much lighter then the glass ones I'm used to. I have not made any soups so I do not know how it handles hot ingredients. Overall, very happy with the purchase. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is I have not used the VitaMix or Blendtec brands and do not know how they compare.

  • Worth the $$

This blender is lightning fast, crushes ice without those big chunks that the cheaper models leave behind - it even crushed the seeds of my frozen blackberries. I didn't find it to be too loud. Especially considering it only needs to be on for about 5 seconds to make a smoothy.

  • Waring MegaMix Blender
    Verified Purchase

I make smoothies almost every morning, so when our other blender started giving up I decided that I would find the most powerful blender for under $200. The old blender was a Waring but under powered - did not blend frozen fruit well, but the MegaMix blender blends so well that the smoothie is thick, smooth, and even breaks down the seeds. Make sure you hold onto the blender when it blends, it is so powerful that the container will come off the base.
