Well I was a little leery at first as I have never put up wall paper that wasn't pre pasted. But this is a beautiful mural I knew would look fanstic. Yes it has faded qualities to it, that is what the picture is meant to have. (Look Close you'll see it in the picture & description too) That is what gives the softness & the writing gives the feeling of a postcard. It is a soothing mural with rich pink, purple & blues softened with Green. I put up some sheers on the window with nice metal Verona Scroll crown & tie backs it gave my room a nice Southern Plantation feel.
I've got 6 rolls for 275 sq. feet area. We have done recent remodeling converting one part of 3-car garage into the office. Wall Paper has been put on plywood with one coat of primer – the surface was smooth enough but still not smooth as a painted wall. The adhesive of this wallpaper works really good on such surface, strong enough. The disadvantage of the adhesive wallpaper vs pre-paste wallpaper – it should be put/ stick precisely on the first try. The wallpaper has a very nice pattern, great for office, makes small room looks bigger and elegant. The only imperfection discovered ( and a big! one ) is that every roll at the end of roll had a defect – a visible line of smashed pattern. Since we put it in very private room, we didn’t bother with this imperfection. But if you are planning to put it in the public place – hall, family room – it is something to consider ( that is why only 3 stars).
