Purchased this in the spring. Waited to rate it until after using it for a while. My wife and I live in a two story house with 2 small dogs and a cat. Both dogs are of non-shedding breeds, so the cat is the only one constantly depositing hair on everything. We only use the Roomba for the downstairs. The bedrooms are all upstairs. The floor are LVP with area rugs. Actually very pleased with the cleaning abilities of this unit. However, we think is suffers from ADD. No offense intended for those who actually suffer from ADD. but that's what makes it entertaining. While it is quite amazing to watch it find it's way around the legs of chairs, tables, or one of the dogs laying in the middle of the floor, it seems confused about which room it wants to clean! We have located the home base under a low-boy cabinet in the living room, so it starts the cycle in the largest room of the house. It proceeds to cover the floor in an orderly fashion, going back and forth, bumping into something, turning around going the other way, moving over the width of the vacuum area. About a quarter of the way through the room it decides to leave, head down the hall to clean the foyer. It will work there for a while, then head for the dining room, work part of that room then go back to the living room! We named it Alice (after the housekeeper on The Brady Bunch), and find ourselves talking to it. Mainly asking, "Were are you going now, Alice?" If you are tracking what is cleaned, it does eventually cover all of the available floor. It just takes a while. Emptying the dust bin after every use is necessary. We have learned to pick up everything that really shouldn't be on the floor. (All the shoes, socks, dog toys, etc). And it needs some night lights. We make "Alice" work at night when we go to bed. If some lights are NOT on, "she" gets lost and can't find the way back to home base.
I have an older house and 4 cats. Believe me when I say this is the best cleaning machine ever. It has made a new house out of my house. Not to mention a better clean for all the allergy sufferers at home. Thank you Bissell for this amazing machine.
My Eureka airmax was my favorite vacuum for years. I was devastated when it just died a few weeks ago. It was efficient, quiet and easy to use. I had purchased it on the allergy website which recommends products for people with allergies to dust, pollen etc. When I went back to their website for another recommendation, they gave me the names of a few different machines, one being Soniclean. I researched it and read reviews of all the machines they listed for me, and this one got the highest rating from customers. So, I bought researched the best price and found it on Overstock.com. I was leary about buying something refurbished but my boyfriend told me he had success with many refurbished items. Well I am so glad I listened! This machine out performs the Eureka and is much quieter and more efficient! The suction is amazing and my carpets actually look cleaner! I highly recommend this vacuum for its light weight, hepa filter, quietness and overall performance!
