Buy it! Buy it quickly before they run out! Buy 2 so you'll always have one! Seriously though, I have 3 white terriers, two short-haired. I swear their hair is barbed because it somehow becomes a part of ALL fabric. For 15 years, I have vacuumed, sticky rollered, vacuumed again, then used a damp cloth to roll the hair and pick it off. After a day, the color of the couch is again, Doghair. This was barely delivered and I popped it out of the box, plugged it in and holy-clean couch! I thought there wasn't much but it picked up a ton! The cute little black attachment is where I started because, hey, smaller hole to suck thru means more suction. Nope. The key is the fabulous pink rubber attachment with bumpys. Love this machine! Does it come in a smaller size for clothes? (think magical lint brush).
Ohmigosh, I love this Roomba. Read countless reviews, virtually all of them would sing the praises of the IRobot. Totally exceeds my expectations. First and foremost it comes out all by itself...relieves you of having to lug a machine to where you need it, the plug not stretching far enough. Now you're exhausted, maybe you're finished, and have to put the machine back. Roomba frees you from all that. Super-easy set up. Nice that it is pre-juiced so you can use it right out of the box. Has great suction, you can hear it go into high gear on a rug that needs special attention. It goes from rug to wood floor effortlessly. Reviewers sometimes say that fringe rugs were a problem, I have but one fringe rug, and it seems fine. I worried about corners, in fact, that held me back buying one. But, it's fine...might not get it all of it on the first pass, but when Roomba comes back, the second time is sucked up. What about odds and ends? It picked up a nickel from under the bed, another room it picked up an errant plastic soda straw which didn't stop the machine or even bend the straw, it was intact when I opened the full bin. A tissue didn't stop the machine, but I did...gently guided it from the roller. Rubber bands that hit the floor, it picks everything up easily. Once, a tube package of cosmetic cotton pads had rolled under the couch and Roomba came out sort of pushing it along, it looked like a backhoe. "Thanks, I knew I had that, Roomba". I especially like that emptying the dust bin isn't clumsy. It's a perfect pie wedged size at the front of the machine, dust taps out easily. The real test will be how long the Roomba lasts, because daily use, emptying the machine, the low sound it makes, all of that is a breeze. If it lasts through it's warranty, it will be worth it. Hiring a cleaning crew four times a year costs as much. I like to clean well enough, but in this Age Group the whole under the bed thing isn't working well. Having thoroughly vacuumed, Roomba gives me the chance to do other cleaning. Try it and love it. Then....pull out your copy of The Family Tree. Use the number of kids and cousins as a divisor-- pool money to buy a Roomba for older moms and grandmothers. No excuses. Roomba is worth every penny, it's a cute little workhorse. Overstock did an excellent job at processing the order with swift delivery.
I purchased this product because I was desperate to find something that would take the dog hair off of my couch. I was getting tired of using the lint roller to try and remove all of the hair. What intrigued me most about this product was the rubber nozzle at the end. It turns out that the rubber nozzle is perfect for removing the dog hair from upholstered furniture, because it hugs the fabric and strips the stubborn dog hair from the furniture. I was surprised by the powerful suction of this tiny machine; it certainly lives up to its name! It is a pet hair eraser. For the first time, my couch is free of dog hair and it only took minutes with Bissell Pet Hair eraser hand vacuum. I will never have to use a lint roller on my couch cushions again.
