I received the well packaged bookends in a timely manner. One of the figures had become detached from the bookend but it was easily fixed with cement glue. The construction is heavy duty and I like the weight/feel and size. These are perfect to secure larger books like dictionaries or even old encylcopedias.

These bookends have a very catchy design for a library or a single bookshelf. Unfortunately, they are quite large and cumbersome, detracting from the cleaver design. The hefty size also takes up quite a lot of space on the bookshelf leaving much less room for books. If they were made to be about 2/3 of the current size they would be very attractive and much more practical! They are definitely heavy enough to hold up a large number of books, but that is not the only consideration.

Bought these as a gift. Receiver loves them, they are heavy, substantial construction, useful for what they were meant for and really good quality. Doesn't hurt that they are awesomely cute too!

this item smelled and wast too big for my shelf.
