Beautiful birdbath! Wonderful patina!
We really love this birdbath. The color is beautiful and it is very stable. We got a small solar-powered birdbath fountain mechanism to put in the bowl, then filled the bowl halfway with decorative small river stones to disguise the pump and also to give the birds a place to land to enjoy the water. This is our second year using this birdbath and it has held up well for the most part. I do clean it regularly and noticed that some of the antique finish started to wear away inside the bowl from frequent scrubbing. Nothing horrible, but the green in the bottom of the bowl started to become a brighter green without the antique coloring on top of it. I also began to notice some light rust marks forming under the leaves after several months of use. We solved these problems by cleaning the birdbath, letting it dry thoroughly and then coating the inside of the bowl and under the decorative leaves with several coats of clear Flex Seal. Seems to have solved the problems very well.
It's cute but I'm not happy with the quality. It started rusting immediately and was just bought. I would not recommend it to family or friends.
The bird bath is as pictured in terms of color and size. The depth will allow me to put a solar fountain pump to create a water feature. It's really a nice looking piece. I wasn't expecting that they recommend that you treat it every six months to protect the finish until noted in the packaging. Also it has a slight tilt to the basin once put together. I'm guessing that it's handmade.
This was very easy to put together.It is not heavy so it is easy to move. The bowl is much deeper than I expected it to be. It looks nice in my backyard.
