We have a new build and we CANNOT wait to soak in this gorgeous tub! Don't pay for the any room delivery though, even though the website said up to two flights of stairs, our delivery people refused to take it past the garage!
I have been looking at cast iron pedestal and claw foot tubs for several years. The tub is made well and looks great. This is a wonderful piece in our new bathroom.
We have a small bathroom under the stairs on the first floor or our 1908 Edwardian house that was renovated in the 50s with a terrible square cast iron tub and ceramic tiles. We originally wanted to go with a claw foot cast iron tub from the second floor but the weight and work to repair it was not worth it. My husband was not happy I bought this tub online versus a store. It arrived well packaged and at first he was worried it was too big for the washroom due to the height. We did have to saw off .5" from the bottom bolts to get through the narrow door but once the feet were on, the tub looked amazing! This is a taller tub than most but we wanted this given it could not be longer 59" to fit the room. We connected the plumbing ourselves. If you want a plumber, you can do everything up until the floor and water connections if you are not confident. The shower handle and tap feel heavy and expensive. The entire tub looks very expensive; I spend a lot of time in boutique hotels and this tub would fit in perfectly. FYI... The drain sits in the overflow when not being used so it stores neatly away and out of site. We get tons of compliments on our bathroom and we all use the tub from time to time as we have showers in the rest of the house. The water stays warm thanks to the thermal insert within the acrylic. I would recommend this tub and would buy again any day. I would post a photo if we could.
