Installed in an office/conference room setting. This is peripheral lighting used as task lighting. I put a tech looking chandelier over the conference table. Lets dress up a sterile work space. The tracks are LED energy efficient and attractive. The heads are a little large for a residential application, however they look great in a work environment. The track color is a creamy white instead of a bright white. The ceiling color will have to be adjusted to make this more invisible. Overall, a very nice and affordable fix when more light is needed. It comes out at half the price I usually pay for track lighting.
After reading some reviews, I was concerned about the quality of the product but ordered anyway. IGNORE THEM. I could not be happier with the quality of the product, and what made it even better is how flexible/customize-able this product is. I had to retrofit this to the brackets from an ugly 1980s track set into a reinforced concrete ceiling and did not want to drill new holes. NO PROBLEM - it's great when a plan comes together. I would say the brightness and coverage is equal to 4-5 - 75 watt incandescent bulbs, plenty enough to light a galley kitchen from 14 ceiling. The halogen lights do get hot, but I do believe you can purchase LEDs that will fit. I think they look good as well, the only "cheap feel" aspect was that the light clip was plastic, but I will loose no sleep over this because it looks fine, you cant tell unless you are touching it, and makes it lighter. I am considering switching all of my tracks to this now. It was a but touchy to hook up some of the lights, takes a bit of finesse to get the conductor on the track, but I was able to figure it out with a bit of back and forth.
LOL, I use these lights to light my small barn. I string them around the edges. Just enough for when I go out at night and enough for when the timer goes on to extend the lighting for the chickens during the dark months.
