It is indeed a black toilet seat, standard size, made of your typical toiet seat grade molded wood. My beef is that the hinges on it are terribly cheap material. I have it as tight as it can be on the bowl and it still wiggles from the flimsiness of the plastic hinges. I have no problem with plastic-hinged potty seats, but this one is just a little too disappointing. It's hard to give a bad review of a toilet seat if it IS serving its intended function- and it LOOKS nice in my bathroom. However, for the price, I wish I would have shopped a little harder around town. I might not have found something better, but I would hope I could've found something cheaper for the same quality I received. Thankfully, it's just in the guest bathroom and I don't have to sit on it everyday.
A must have for all homeowners!
I purchased my first home in March of 2008, which was built in the early 1950's. I put in a Kohler Cimarron toilet because I was told that it had a strong flush, but I had nothing but problems with it. I replaced the majority of my pipes thinking that was the problem, but the clogs and overflows kept coming. After numerous calls to the plumber someone recommended the Toto Ultramax. I did my research online and found that everyone seemed to love theirs. I just bought the Toto and it flushes like a dream. I can't even believe it! Never in my wildest dreams did I think I could be this excited over a toilet, but plumbing problems can make you crazy. The toilet was costly, but worth every penny! Now that I don't have to call a plumber all of the time I figure it will pay for itself in a year. Highly recommended!
Perfect color match
The marbelized toilet seat matches my linoleum perfectly. The floor has the marbelized look. After my old, plain green seat broke, I went shopping for another one. When looking online, I seen this one and thought the colors would match. And, when the pkg. arrived, it was fine--just as it was pictured online. Another plus, it's price was lower than any I'd seen at a local hardware store. It's tops (or bottoms,HA!HA!) in my book.
