I purchased this product a few months ago. I had an electrician install an inconspicuous outlet though I could have done that myself if I wanted to spend the time (I am rather familiar with electric code and installation). I installed the plumbing and physical aspect of the seat fairly quickly (familiar with that too), though I had purchased a few different supply lines in advance to make sure I had one to use that fit my installation. It took me all of maybe 20-30 minutes, start to finish. I've been using and loving the seat since, and only wish that I had purchased it sooner-- years ago, in fact! It does what they say it will do, and the warranty is well beyond the competitors! Definitely worth the price. I do also have a colitis condition that can sometimes makes a bowel movement messy. This is the remedy for such things and more! Buy it; you'll love it, and what it does! (BTW, I have no affiliation with the manufacturer or anyone associated with them. I just bought the product and love it and took the time to review it.)
The bidet function is great. The plumbing and "electrical" (just plug it in) is super. The ONLY drawback is that it is hard to sit on the closed lid (say to do your nails or look in a countertop mirror) because it has a slant to it. Also, unlike most seats, it's difficult to lean back while "on the pot." It's not a huge deal, because how often does one really lean back? The functionality of the sprays are great. The water is warm, although, if you do more than 20-30 seconds it slowly goes cold. There's a jet spray that is pretty "stiff" and there's a softer, wave spray that is more gentle and has a bit of motion to it. I made my husband try and he thought it was weird and shocking. (men!) But I think it's great. The self-cleaning function is cool. The warm seat is fantastic in the winter. I do wish it came as a "round" seat and not the oblong. We needed to change toilets for it.
The cons first. It is pricy. The product requires a dedicated electrical line with a GFI plug. The standard cost where I live is about *** for and electrician to run this line. If you are a little plumbing savy you can probably install it yourself. There is a video on the product page that shows you how to do it. The pros. It works GREAT. I really enjoy feeling so clean. My toilet paper expense will probably be reduced by 90%. The remote is super easy to use. I am really happy I made this investment.
