Lovely aesthetically pleasing construction. Light weight but solid. Not the most comfortable chair seat support not terribly durable.

Lovely chair. Sturdy. The leather is very nice. But no one can sit in it without sliding out of it. Perhaps the seat just needs to be at a slight decline towards the back. No one likes sitting in it, sadly, but it sure looks good just sitting in the corner.

I LOVE this chair! I have been looking and looking and looking for a brown leather chair for my master bedroom for several years. Most leather chairs are very, very expensive. I did not want to spend a fortune. I have leather living room furniture and really did not want faux leather either. I have no interest in "bonded leather" and other fake versions. This chair is made from top grain leather. It looks fantastic! The color is not dark espresso brown---it is lighter. It is a rich, medium-dark brown. I agree with the reviews that state it is firm. It is very firm. I believe it could become less firm over time. I find it comfortable. I am 5'9" and can sit in it several ways comfortably. It is in a corner next to my bed, so I may not need an ottoman as I originally thought. I can sit up straight in it with my feet on the bed; slouch down and put my feet on the bed; and even turn my body sideways in it with my legs handing over one side. It is roomy. I am considering purchasing another one! I got it at a reduced cost during the after-Thanksgiving-weekend sale. What a deal! Fast shipping and well packed. Note: there are not four legs to screw in-rather, the legs are part of a square base that you screw into the chair. I was a dummy and put it together in my living room. When I tried to take it into my bedroom, it would not go through the door! I had to take the base off, put it through the bedroom door, and then put the base back on....so, consider that if you are planning to put into a room with a door! GREAT DEAL. FAST SHIPPING! THANKS OVERSTOCK!

  • Good for the Money

A good chair. It is tough to buy a chair sight unseen but I did. Positives: - Price - Good looks - Size (fits well in small rooms, spaces) - Light weight - Firm (very firm) seat Minus - Firm (very firm) seat - Slippery - No tag or documentation on the leather I had been looking for small leather chair for my home office. I wanted Full or top grain leather not slippery, plastic type leather. I did research and thought this leather would be a good compromise since aniline leather is made from full grain leather and is supposed to be soft and supple to the touch. This chair is not soft and supple to the touch. Maybe it needs to be broken in. Otherwise, not bad.

  • These are gorgeous chairs!
    Verified Purchase

All of the reviews that I read on these chairs were so helpful. The two chairs were packed so nicely and I did not find any sort of damage on either one of them. The chairs are much more beautiful in person than on line in the photo. The leather quality is pretty nice, but just a little stiff. I used "Rejuvenate Auto" Leather and Vinyl Restorer & Conditioner to help soften and condition them. I will also buy this "Leather Honey" on line to soften them even more. These chairs are so classy and modern looking. I put them in my Family Room next to a pony wall and put a small end table between them. We received so many compliments on these chairs at "Easter Sunday!" I definitely recommend that you take a chance and purchase these gorgeous chairs! Thank you Overstock,Com!

These are a great value for top grain leather, for the price you can't go wrong we looked around in our area and for the price we paid at Overstock, we would of only been able to have bought bonded leather, suggestion do your home work on the difference between real leather and bonded leather these are perfect for a small sitting area or as an addition to any room in the home we love shopping at Overstock

  • Nice Chair BUT...
    Verified Purchase

This chair looks VERY nice and rich, the color is just like the picture shows. Looks wise i give this 5 stars. The down side is that its not that comfortable. The seat of the chair feels like it slopes forward, so i find i sit on the edge of the chair verse back in it. If you don't plan to sit in this often i'd say buy it but if you are looking for a chair that will be used frequently i wouldn't recommend!

Questions & Answers

  • Q:

"Does the cushion come out or is it solid? I'm concerned how many people say it is slanted down."

    • A:

It is solid. No problem with the slight slant when you use an ottoman as your foot rest. That prevents the sliding and makes for a comfortable seating.

    • A:

It is slanted down and very hard. this is a good looking piece but not functional

"Hello, So Bonded Leather is fully dyed thru cow leather with PU? I get so many different answers on these type of chairs its unreal. I've been told in response to another chair that fully dyed thru cow leather is Aniline without the Polyurethane. Bonded leather is not fully dyed thru and has a completely different process. Compare this picture to other chairs that state Bonded Leather. They look completely different.,, like the Bedford Bonded Leather Chair. If this is truly Bonded Leather why weren't the product details changed? Most people read that information first. Sorry I'm just trying to keep things honest for my customers/clients. I'm sure Overstock does also as a company and all that responds to these questions do as well. Please do the research and see that revisions are made if needed. Thanks again for the assistance."

    • A:

Hello thepersonalshopper, I apologize for the conflicting information you have been receiving. I have researched the different types of leather on our site and will illustrate some details below: 1. Bonded leather or reconstituted leather- Made with a synthetic material made of varying types of plastic (generally polyurethane or vinyl) that may be spread over ground-up leather and other substances, mechanically processed to give the appearance of leather. It must have 50% leather material to be called Bonded leather. 2. Analine- Leather dyed exclusively with soluble dyes without covering the surface with a topcoat paint or insoluble pigments. The resulting product retains the hide's natural surface with the 'grain', i.e. visible pores, scars etc. of the complete original animal's skin structure. 3. Bicast leather- (also known as bycast leather, split leather or PU. leather) is a material made with a split leather backing covered with a layer of polyurethane that is applied to the surface and then embossed. Because it is only used for the backing, the leather portion of this material is generally not visible in finished. 4. Leather- On our site this means that the material is dyed through leather with a top coating for protection. Bicast leather and bonded leather and leather are protected leathers due to their materials including the synthetic plastic materials or have a coating on top. Analine leather is unprotected leather. I can confirm that this item is leather with a thin coat of PU on top for protection. I appreciate you bringing this to my attention. I hope that you will continue to make inquiries and we can provide you with knowledgeable answers for your and your clients. Please contact us with any additional questions. Thank You

    • A:

Thanks for such a thorough response. I see the details are corrected as well. Thanks for seeing this was done too. Have a great day.

  • Q:

"Hello, Sorry, confused again with the leather. The Details state Aniline, then below indicates fully dyed thru cow leather with polyurethane coating. It is my understanding aniline does not have a top coat. Is that the same as PU coating? Also the the PU was used for protection against pets, etc. Thanks in advance for helping me. :)"

    • A:

Thank you for your question thepersonalshopper. Yes, you are correct, this is bonded leather. I apologize for the confusion. Have a great day.

  • Q:

"What are the dimensions of the chair before assembly?"

    • A:

Thank you for contacting us jennhalvorsen. The chair dimensions before adding the 9 inch base are: 26 L X 27 W x 23 H. Please let us know if you have any further questions.

    • A:

The difference between these items is the color; the price difference reflects the higher demand for the dark brown color.

    • A:

We do not know the actual weight of this product, but we know that its shipping weight is 54 pounds.

  • Q:

"hi - i can't get the product details to show - what is the depth of the seat on this?"

    • A:

The seat height is 15.75 inches. The chair measures 33 inches deep x 33 inches wide x 34 inches high.

  • Q:

    "Who is the manufacture?"

    • A:

Unfortunately, we do not have the manufacturer''s information available at this time.

  • Q:

    "What are the seat dimensions?"

    • A:

      This is 30" x 30".

  • Q:

    "What is analine leather?"

    • A:
